Grand Slam PS3/360 delayed indefinitely News

Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 News by Robert Purchese

5 August, 2009

EA has revealed that the PS3 and 360 versions of Grand Slam Tennis have been "delayed indefinitely".

Nevertheless, a spokesperson assured Kotaku that the publisher still plans to release the high-definition conversions of the sports game.

Those comments come after EA Sports boss Peter Moore said all focus at the company had turned to finishing the EA Sports Active expansion in time for a prompt holiday launch.

This, he added, would be at the detriment of Grand Slam Tennis on PS3 and 360.

EA Sports Active launched mid-May and sold 1.8m copies by 30th June, according to EA's freshly released financial results. The publisher's share of the Wii market now sits at a record 21 per cent in the US and 13 per cent in Europe.

Not so they can do them as Wandildo and Natal versions then? Probably a good thing if you ask me.

Doesn't take a genius to work out why.

That could be awesome on the PS3 wand given it won't need recalibrating after every shot, and has a bit more precision. Can't wait. Natal version would be interesting, but I'm still a bit sceptical on how well that thing will work.
