God of War III gets US release date News • News • Eurogamer.net

Time Marches on.

God of War III has been given a firm North American release date of 16th March.

You can read all about it on the US PlayStation blog. Also, look forward to a new trailer for the game debuting on February 11th.

A 16th March appearance Stateside would seem to indicate a 19th March release in Europe, but that's unconfirmed at present. Sony indicated the 19th was a "tracking date" to VG247 earlier this week. Expect confirmation soon.

Even though i've never played any of the GOW games, I want to give it a try... but is the only way to get all three games by buying the overly expensive box/special edition? or will the double pack be released in the UK?

That's a good question that, unfortunately, no-one but the Sony people can answer at the moment.

You can import the US version of GoW 1 and 2 and get the normal version of 3 but that probably works out as much the same as buying the special edition when shipping costs are taken into account.

I imported the collection from movietyme for �30ish, so saved �40 on the pack being released here. Well worth a look.

I wonder when Sony will make the demo available for general download. I find it slightly cheesy that I can only play the demo by pre-ordering the game. Kinda gets the cart in front of the horse.

the demo is from a 8 month old build, for shows (even though it runs extremely well), i'm sure they will put out a newer version a few weeks before release.

I bought GoW Collection from EBAY last week for �30 delivered, on account of never playing them first time round. /runs for cover.

Easily some 2 of the best games I've played this generation, incredible design and great vision remastered in HD. Wondering how they can get any better with number 3......
