Earlier this week we told you Eurogamer had partnered with Activision to give away Call of Duty 4 beta keys. Well, today we're delivering the payload.
All you have to do is sign in to our community site Eurogamers and pop over to the COD4 key giveaway page to claim your spot. But you will need to provide your Live Gamertag as it is an Xbox 360 beta test, and you should note only Gold members of the service are allowed to take part.
If you're not already a member of Eurogamers, then registering will only take a few minutes. We're not going to ask you for money or anything like that, and you'll be rewarded with lots of lovely features over in community land - like our new Xbox Live integration, for instance.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare takes the familiar World War II series onto today's battlefield. Infinity Ward are back behind the wheel, and from what we've seen so far it looks nothing short of fantastic.

No good for me as I'm currently in the process of sending back the broken replacement (actually a pretty shoddy refurbishment job) console they sent me, to replace the broken console I sent them...

Yeah, I was quite suprised when I rushed on here this morning to find over 15,000 keys left. I though every man and his dog would be trying to get into the beta.
Maybe as the day goes on things will hot up. Can't wait to play it though. Sounds scrummy : ) |

My experience of EG is that most of the people who post during a week day are actually in work. All you need is access to PC, and lets face it, most office jobs give you that. |

On the COD4 website when i entered the key it was deemed as invalid, any else suffer from similar problems or any useful suggestions? Please

This is what you get from the confirmation mail.
Confirmation said: Thank you for signing up to the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Official X360 Beta Programme for the UK and Ireland. You are now on the approved waiting list and will be emailed with your BETA Programme Code as soon as it becomes available. I didn't get this email yet. this was posted in the forums, anybody that got this mail this morning or sometime after willl get in the beta. Hope i get it. |

yeah i got my email as well,and as said it was in the trash
bit gutted we cant be playign over the weekend,and then when it does finally come on monday,XBOX LIVE is down for maintanance.....typical |

hmm a beta key giveaway that actually isn't a beta key giveaway just a chance to get a beta key when Activision gives them away on Monday, pffft rubbish! Poorly worded EG, you're NOT giving away beta keys just the chance to get one. Oh well hope I get one anyway to see what the fuss is about
