Geometry Wars 2 next Wednesday! News

Xbox 360 News by Robert Purchese

24 July, 2008

Bizarre Creations has moved the release of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 to next Wednesday. National holiday.

This Xbox Live Arcade sequel will cost 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60) and had previously been expected in August.

Retro Evolved 2, unveiled during the Microsoft E3 conference last week, will feature multiple game modes, local head-to-head or co-operative action, and even a co-pilot mode where one person shoots while the other person steers, which sounds rather rude.

There are plenty of new special moves, swarms of colourful shape-shaped baddies, and 1080p even-fancier visuals.

Geometry Wars 2 also has the usual Achievements and leaderboards to prove your thumb-stick abilities to the internet.

Blast over to our Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 gamepage for more.

the original is my fav XBLA game, hopefully this one will be just as good if not better. Also hope the achievements are just as bastard hard as the first game. Those are my most treasured 200 points.

I only have 30 gamerscore from it, (pacifist, survived and scored 100K, and scored 100k), but it is still my most treasured 30 Gamerscore.

I really hope I have 800 points, because I have no money, maybe Gamestation will accept one of my legs for some MS points...

played this again recently and can't get anywhere near my high score :(

I'd love to fool myself into thinking there's been an increase difficulty patch but the truth is too apparent - my gaming reactions are ageing with the rest of me :(

Still....not giving up yet....one.....more.....go.....
