Gears maps on Thursday
"Hidden Fronts" multiplayer pack.
The "Hidden Fronts" map pack for Gears of War will be released on Live Marketplace this Thursday.
It'll cost you 800 points if you want it right away, or you can wait until 3rd September when it'll be free to download.
Included is Bullet Marsh, a Kryll-infested swamp lit by power from a dodgy old generator. You might even consider knocking out the power so people have to fend for themselves in the dark - if you were that way inclined.
Then there's the Garden, which rather than being a source of summer pride is, instead, overgrown and doused in pesticide. And it'll play havoc with your lungs if you haven't had a sufficient dose of clean air before venturing in.
Process is a team affair built around a subterranean Imulsion processing plant, while Subway takes place in Timgad's Central station that's now overrun with Locust.
Tom reckons it's all an elaborate plan to detract UK residents from voting in the local elections. What do you think?

I'll be getting UTIII on PC because the inevitable bonus pack will be free on PC and will probably end up costing on 360.

That depends on if the (online / multi-player) game is fixed first.

Or maybe it will just persuade MS to NOT inform people that it will be free later, or, even worse, never make them free...

It’s worth keeping a sense of prospective my penny saving friend.
It does after all cost money to develop this new map action.
And it could be worse my fellow gamer, you could have paid £450 for a PS3?!

Except Microsoft pay Epics bills for Gears - so its Microsofts money not Epics - very easy for Epic to say they want it to be free!

Couldn't agree more. I'll be getting it and anyone who wants to keep a measly £6.80 in their wallets and wait 4 months just go ahead.
At the end of the day kids, goods and services actually COST MONEY you know (yeah, I know, unbelievable ain't it??!), you can't Torrent everything in life, people do actually deserve some credit (and money) for their creations and effort.
/puts condescending old fart hat away.
