Xbox 360 News by Tom Bramwell
The first gameplay footage of Gears of War 2 will be released on Xbox Live Video Store tomorrow at 7am BST, Microsoft's just announced.
Featuring a "personal introduction by Epic Games design director Cliff Bleszinski", it will showcase "chainsaw duels, large scale fire fights with Locust Horde and stunning new visuals" all from within the game.
Gears of War 2 is due out in November exclusively on Xbox 360.

I don't understand the logic of why a game sequel demands new gameplay. Film sequels don't demand a radical new formula, just a new new script, new actors and new setpieces. Sometimes they're even better than the first!
Saying that, Terminator 2 was pretty far removed from the original and all the better for it. Look at me! I can eat my own words! |

What exactly do you want? it's the 2nd game EVER in a series that's not even 2 years old yet, but you want a revolutionary change within the series already? Get a grip, eh? People who say such things are idiots. The reason for this is the fact that it's called "Gears of War" anything means it will share most of it's gameplay traits with other games in the series (or in this case, game)

One game is not a series. And when you take away the gameplay mechanic they lifted from Kill.Switch all you have left is mediocrity. |

...until it gets ported to the PC that is. I wish MS would stop porting over/releasing at the same time all their great exclusives to PC (Halo series, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Fable). I'd love a kill.switch sequel. I picked the original up off eBay a couple months ago and really enjoyed it - it was flawed and too short but a good, solid game, and utterly deserving of a sequel. |

No offence intended but you must just be a tad bit dunce if you don't understand the word "console" (i.e. not a PC) and the word "context" (i.e. the game looks incredible for a console game). I'm well aware that Crysis looks better than console games but again "context" comes into it, a Ferrari looks nicer than a Ford Fiesta but a Ferrari also cost a little bit more ;-) |

The 360 and the Ps3 are closer to PCs than any consoles before them. Excluding the PC therefore is ridiculous. Just because a Ford Fiesta is cheap that doesn't mean any rational person would say "omg that looks incredible...for a cheap car". |

Who ever said graphics make a game? Appreciating good visuals doesn't mean I think they 'make the game'. Well i can say that Killzone 2 and gears of war 2 will be shit because gameplay its boring and plain and when kids said stupids things like this: "Not really, if you take away the gameplay, you're left with some of the most incredible visuals to ever grace a home console, in context I don't see how that's mediocrity?" I know that people play this boring pieces of shit just because the graphics. FPS in consoles are boring and boring, PC shooters rule over them anytime.
