GDC: WiiWare climbing game shown off
Rock N' Roll Climber uses balance board.
Nintendo has unveiled a new WiiWare game called Rock N' Roll Climber during Satoru Iwata's GDC keynote speech.
Rock N' Roll Climber uses the balance board and controllers to simulate mountain climbing.
In the demo stage shown at GDC, there's a guitar at the top. According to one of the developers brought to the front to show it off, "At the end of each stage, you're given a rock and roll payoff."
The game was first uncovered earlier this month in an ESRB posting.
Iwata also announced that balance board sales are now almost the same as PS3 console sales, which means they must be closing in on 20 million. Wii Fit was second in the UK charts this week, having stuck around for a long time.
