Eidos has settled on an October release date for the DS remake of Gauntlet.
The game, developed by Backbone Entertainment of Age of Kings DS fame, had once upon a time been expected back in June.
Still, ambitions are high; Gauntlet DS will feature Wi-Fi co-op for four as well as competitive multiplayer, plus voice chat support for players.
The familiar quartet from the arcade will return - Elf, Warrior, Wizard and Valkyrie - and there will be around 40 levels to bash through.

Been looking forward to this for ages - sounds like shovelware on first glance which is why I think I was the only person to make noise when it didn't appear in June and there was no news about it >:(
Wifi co-op gauntlet with voice chat? If they mess this up I will lose all faith in humanity as there is no reason for this to go wrong, unless you don't like gauntlet style gameplay. |

careful Lazydan, just name one Gauntlet in the last ten years that has turned out well.... (pretty much none, esspecially the midway attempts)
