GamerNet to debut with Tiger Woods '08

EA's new online service.

It's been confirmed that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008 will be the first game to use EA's new GamerNet service.

It will let you save your best shots, holes or rounds before posting them online for other people to applaud or try and beat. Take part by creating challenges or by beating them and you could also find yourself rewarded with online points.

EA Tiburon's golf outing will also debut a new Photo Game Face system. With this you can generate and customise in-game character's faces by using pictures you've uploaded, as well as use the many clothing and accessory options the game will offer.

It's the same sort of thing we've seen before in Rainbow Six Vegas, and we expect this means you'll need the Live Vision camera or PS3 alternative to capture the pictures in the first place.

Unfortunately EA was unavailable to to tell us which versions of the game will support the new features, and whether it will be included in other upcoming games.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008 will be released on Xbox 360, PC, PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii and DS.
