Futurama game scenes made into episode

Said to be in next DVD feature.

Cut-scenes from the Futurama videogame may be stuck together and released as a bonus episode in the next downloadable direct-to-DVD animated feature.

Confirmation comes from US retailers, which provided a list of extras for the title.

However, Fox has since contacted reporter TVShowsonDVD to say bonus content is yet to be finalised and will be subject to change.

Take that 24th June date for Futurama - The Beast with a Billion Backs with a pinch of salt, then.

The Futurama game was released in 2003 and had little to recommend it, ending up with a 5/10 score on Eurogamer. Thankfully the cut-scenes and quirky loading screens made it bearable.

The recent Dr Strange animated movie had the cutscenes from both X-Men Legends games and Marvel Ultimate Alliance as bonus features, so we could be seeing a lot more of this.

Check out 'Benders Big Score', it's quiet good!

Don't think it's out in the UK yet though.

I didn't fancy 'Benders Big Score' too much. Found it to be teh boring.

Bender's Big Score is a lot better than the aimless rehash that was The Simpsons Movie, but I don't think Futurama benefits from feature length. There are moments where you can see the plot creaking as they try to spin it out for another hour.

I enjoyed the game, but then I enjoy most Simpsons games. I would love to say the same for the South Park ones and Family Guy, but I can't

@danwhitehead - yeah I agree. Liked the movie but jsut felt it was struggling to hold itself together in places where my interst wained, then it picked back up again with the next part of the story.

Futurama = One of the worst games ever made.

The cutscenes were funny tho :) Terribly designed game tho... Seriously, whoever made it does not know the difference between "Challenging" and "Annoying".

well lets hope this is better than the last futurama dvd which came out a while back...

wasnt too impressed with the story or better said it might have worked better as a 30 min. episode.

'Benders Big Score' is out on DVD in the UK this April and it's very good if you've seen Futurama from season 1 right up to season 4. Ties up a lot of loose ends and nicely sets up the next three DVD films.

The plot always gets me though - Where the hel did the code come from in the first place?
  • smelly #11 4 years ago

Well at least this way people may get to see it (unlike being hidden in the awful game)

    >Check out 'Benders Big Score', it's quiet good!

    Nope.. it's "quiet" bad.

I fell asleep in it. I had to watch it in 3 or 4 sittings as i kept falling asleep it was so "quiet"
