The extra planes at a costs (plus free one) were already on Live yesterday before the release of retail game today! Who know how many purchased the planes yesterday without the game to fly them in!

I noticed the Gamespot review of AC6 mentioned that this game has fewer planes and missions that the previous instalments on the PS2... now I know why... it's so they can sell the others as premium downloadable content.
/sigh Still it's a bloody fantastic game out of the box and since I prefer to play from the more immersive cockpit view, the "skins" are pointless unless you want to watch the (admittedly stunning) replays. The new planes sound intriguing though, might try one or two of them but really they should have been included with the boxed game in the first place. Yeah, they are optional, you don't have to buy them, but it seems these days that you get less game content because publishers like to make a bit extra from selling some of the missing stuff as downloadable content. |

I'm supposed to be entitled to download two free planes because I pre-ordered from GAME, but I'll be buggered if I know how I'm supposed get them.
Charging for new planes is taking the wee wee. |

@FabricatedLunatic - I got my game from Gameplay but it came in a cardboard sleeve stating that it was exclusive to GAME (Gameplay own GAME now you see) and that I had two free planes but, like you, I've absolutely no idea how you're supposed to get them or whether I'm even actually entitled to them in the first place.
I presume it is exclusive only to GAME and that they should send people the codes to unlock them from the Xbox Live Marketplace, similar to how people got hold of the Call of Duty 4 Beta a few months back. I suggest emailing GAME and asking them how you get hold of the codes for these "exclusive" planes, which are only "skins" anyway. I think. |

Cheers. I might send them an email. I, like you, prefer the cockpit view (well, first person; the cockpit view is sometimes too cluttered) but it's the principle, damnit :-) Regarding the number of missions, it's probably worth mentioning that AC6 has longer, more involving missions that its predecessors. That kind of makes up for there being fewer of them. |

I thought there were only 11 missions from looking at the Achievements but when I was checking out my stats, there's a screen where you get medals for accomplishing the Operations in each of the missions and that suggests there are actually 13. I'm on the seventh mission now and have noticed that they're getting tougher and longer and obviously more enjoyable. It's a really terrific game, can't recommend it highly enough. In fact, if you read Gamespot's 8.5 review of AC6 that sums up my own feelings on the game so far perfectly... although I'd give it a 9! :)
