Nadeo Studio has released TrackMania Nations Forever to the Internet.

This is the free expansion to the free competitive online TrackMania Nations game from early 2006. Inside are 65 fresh tracks, a new version of the Stadium and an entire solo mode to master.

Better still, it lets you race against those who paid for the TrackMania United game.

And those of you forking out for United (which we thoroughly recommend) will, in turn, be given a free TrackMania United Forever expansion. Confusing.

This has more new tracks, as well as polished graphics and some new design blocks.

Head over to the official TrackMania website for a list of places to download Nations Forever from.

Or you can download it from Steam, where you can also buy TrackMania United and be given United Forever for free.

TrackMania developers have a track (see what I did here) record of providing free expansions to all their TM outings and deserve to be congratulated for that.

@ asphaltcowboy - I just installed it and it didn't ask for the CD key again. Haven't tried the older United exe though. Forever installs itself to a separate directory.

@ sickpuppysoftware - United retail does have SF built into it, but supposedly if you install United Forever it removes SF from the game.

there is no longer starforce in trackmania ( both steam and non-steam versions).
you can download it whithout worries

Hmm, don't have my Trackmania United install with me (on my portable HDD) so I will stick with Steam til I get back in the UK again... More people need to join the Eurogamer team!
