Force Unleashed sales total 1.5 million
In just five days since release.
LucasArts has revealed 1.5 million copies of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed were shifted around the world in just five days.
The game came out on September 16th in North America, with a European release following on the 19th.
LucasArts has already shipped 4.3 million copies of the game, but it's proved so popular they've told the factory to make some extra copies. Looks like The Force Unleashed could be the most popular Star Wars game to date - unsurprising when you consider it's one of the least rubbish, as Johnny found out.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is out now for PSP, PS2, PS3, Wii, DS and Xbox 360.

Certainly no Tie Fighter from back in the day either. September has been a slow month.....

It felt very bland and lifeless. Even the story bit which most people seem to like i found very soulless.
When i give it back i definately won't think about it again, it is completely unremarkable.
Should have sold to the normal movie license buying lot and no one else, on second thoughts i guess that counts for the 1.5 million sales.

Strangely though I'm looking forward to re-playing it on Sith Lord...

But the worst thing is Lucas will not have any reason to do sequels to quality series like Knight/Academy/Tie-Fighter when this crap sells so well.

I would give a digit for a decent console TIE Fighter sequel - decent being the vital word there.

I don't trust Lucas Arts not to fuck up a full on remake.

I loved x-wing and was still playing it maybe 5 years ago, i could see it working on the console as well i.e. trigger buttons to increase speed etc etc.
I am sorely missing some decent space combat simulation and would love to see x-wing/tie-fighter released to the downloadable market for a decent price it would end up as a must buy for me.

The bonus fights are fun and the boss fights in the main game aren't too shaby either.
The long coridor fights in between are boring.
Story is so-so. Not far in yet (after temple now).
