Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is sitting pretty at the top of the UK all-formats chart for a second week running.

The game swatted away familiar attacks to leave the top three unchanged: Wii Fit at two and Mario Kart Wii at three.

Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, at four, was the highest of the new entries this week. Pure also made a top 10 debut at eight.

Fleshing out the top flight were Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 at five, Wii Play at six, Carnival: Funfair Games at seven, Big Beach Sports at nine and Guitar Hero III at 10.

Mercenaries just missed out and tumbled to 11, followed by Warhammer Online, which spends its second week down at 13.

Elsewhere, there were new entries for Family Trainer at 20, as well as a reappearance from Halo 3 at 30 - buoyed by, we like to think, the controversial teaser trailer for the new Bungie add-on.

When FU is dominating the bargain bin or 2nd shelf I'll bite. This is not the SW game I'm looking for.....

Quite enjoying Pure, picked up the 360 version for £30 and it seems worth it so far. Little shallow and repetitive though. Thinking Motorstorm 2 will play better, but not look much better. Pure is a pretty game.

Good point RandomTerrain; unfortunately there's probably no way of knowing unless Sony release some download figures.

Pure is an awesome little game but sadly it's so addictive that you can pretty much complete 90% of the Pure World Tour, the main single mode, in a weekend as I have and then there's only the allure of beating time and score records. And online if that's your thing. While you might not always come first in the races, you can go back to them later on with fully upgraded quad-bikes and win the events relatively easily. Only the later races prove mildy taxing (and sometimes frustrating due to the accurate collision detection - you think you'll clear that tree on a jump and pass through it like lesser games? Think again... LOL ). It's a hugely enjoyable game though with multiple routes and shortcuts on each of the tracks, which makes replaying them rewarding, especially in the Trial mode.

In many ways this reminds me a lot of the wonderful Race Driver GRID, which was also so compulsive to play that you could finish 95% of the game within a few days. Perhaps a few more modes and tracks for Pure would have been welcome - there are only six environments with two areas each and sadly there's no icy or wet tracks except for a short section of the former on one of the New Zealand tracks. As it is Pure is one of the most memorable and enjoyable racing games I've had the pleasure of playing this generation... it's just so damn F.U.N.!!! Nice to see it in the top ten... I was afraid it would get overlooked... :)
