Foo Fighters album for Rock Band News

Harmonix has announced that Foo Fighters album "The Colour and the Shape" will be released as downloadable content for the Rock Band games next week.

The album will cost USD 19.99 on PlayStation 3 and 1600 Microsoft Points (GBP 13.60 / EUR 19.20) on Xbox 360. Individual songs cost USD 1.99 on PSN and 160 MSP on Xbox Live (GBP 1.36 / EUR 1.92).

There are only 12 songs, though, because "Everlong" is already included on the Rock Band 2 disc. Presumably the cost of additional licensing to make it available to Rock Band 1 owners was prohibitive, or the devs didn't want to devalue the Rock Band 2 disc. Either way, expect to see more of that in future.

As usual, the DLC will be available next Tuesday (11th November) for Xbox Live and will follow two days later in the PSN update on Thursday (13th November).

Maybe if you get these then it will prevent Everlong from turning up in every. single. bloody. playlist on RB2 as it seems to at the moment. And this is with all the RB1 songs exported and around 80 DLC songs as well

Great song, but not when you've played it for the 9th time that night. :-s

Hmmm... first album is great - different, but not better. TCATS rocks harder!

Sadly, like most great rock artists, Grohl has had kids and got soft in his old age. Last album was dump.

Can we have Grohl's greatest achievement released on RB2/GH:WT?

Of course I'm talking about Queens of the Stone Age's Songs for the Deaf.

Failing that, any QOTSA will suffice.

Foo Fighters are probably one of the only bands that I'd buy the full albums for, normally I'd cherry pick the bext tracks.... actually I'd probably also download the full albums for Rancid too.

Idd, best album he's appeared on. CATS is my favourite FF album, even if I listen to NLTL more, and even that rarely these days. Ahh my teenage years have withered away :(
