FM 2007 patch out now News

SEGA and Sports Interactive have unleashed a data update for Football Manager 2007, bringing the game up to date with all the transfer window activity from last month.

That includes both playing and managerial staff, apparently, and SEGA says the patch will also fix a range of minor issues that had been annoying a small number of users.

It's available now from the Sports Interactive website for PC, Mac, and Intel Mac, so you should be able to take advantage whether you're a sheepskin-clad Mitchell or Webb.

Heads up.

Well I'd wish they'd release a patch for the 360 version to solve the corrupt save issue. Having to maintain multiple saves in case one of them goes tits up isn't really ideal - so if anyone from Microsoft or SI is listening.... :-)

Its more than a transfer update, they've said as much on the si forums, I only hope the rather annoying score change bug will finaly be fixed.

Aye, having read the SI forums I guessed as much. That's why its sadly going back to the shops on Sat in exchange for some super cop action.

Now if SI would only support their 360 release as good. Or really at all. Si have really been letting me down on the console side 2 games in a row.

Noticed that the news item announcing the patch yesterday seemed to disappear. Was worried i had been imagining things. Assume the Eurogamer guys were secretly informed of the patch, while the official line remained 'out when its ready'?

I know that its a lot more complicated on the 360 as it has to pass Microsoft certification and the shenanigans that entails.

Tis a shame as its a right good game, which saw many a weekend disappear and crashing into bed at 4am with work on the monday morning - which made the corrupt saves that bit more painful!

Probably will pick up a copy for the PC but I quite liked playing it relaxed on the couch instead of sat up close to a monitor.

My legitimate copy of FM still doesn't want to work for me and no one wants to help. I guess I'll be giving this patch a miss ;-)
