The mini games better be online - and the things better work properly this time. The connectivity problems with the old xbox version were a disgrace.

Crikey, all these racing games for the Xbox 360 all in the same month... Forza 2 last week, DiRT this and FlatOut UC next!!! LOL

Shame that FlatOut UC isn't a completely new game though but a remake of FlatOut 2 with prettier visuals... at least the £30 (online) pricepoint makes it a bit easier to swallow.

It should be described as Burnout's superior redneck cousin.

I'm pretty sure that I've read elsewhere that the mini-games are online for this version.

At the very least though, I'm sure that there'll be leaderboards.

Oh, and I didn't have any online problems with the first FlatOut on the X-Box. I can't say that I've ever taken the second one online before though. I might just have to try that later, even if it's only to discover that there are no games available to play online!

First one was great. I held off buying the sequel in anticipation of this version.

Gutted, I skim read the headline and thought it mightve been a remake/sequal to that bastard Hard retro classic Maximum Carnage. *sigh* Maybe next time.

@ asphaltcowboy:

The first game works superbly with the official M$ wheel when being played via BC, although strangely, there is no rumble, even when plugged in and with a battery pack slotted in.

Given that it wasn't intended for wheel use at the time, I'm guessing that there's a very good chance that this one will be just as well supported, if not better.

Don't bother with DiRT, it's soooo awful I feel sick just thinking about it...
Someone on here described it as a hovercraft sim! The perfect way to describe how bad the handling is on this sell out piece of crap.
I cancelled my pre-order after enduring the demo.

Now, Flat Out carnage, if it's anything like the PC versions (1 and 2) it'll be ace!
