Five new games on PS3 Store

Plus two demos and DLC.

Sony has updated the PlayStation 3 Store with five new downloadable games, a pair of overdue demos and downloadable content for Folklore and MotorStorm.

Crikey eh? Games-wise, you've got the hotly ripped Pixeljunk Racers (GBP 4.99), Aqua Vita (GBP 1.99), EyeCreate (free), Operation Creature Feature (GBP 3.49) and Trials of Topoq (GBP 3.49).

As for demos, there's the Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction demo, finally, for those of you too scared to make fake US Store accounts, along with Tony Hawk's Proving Ground.

On top of that, there's a "Kidnapped Folk" pack for Folklore (GBP 1.99), and a "Halloween Livery" for MotorStorm (free), along with trailers for Tekken 5 Online, Toy Home, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Metal Gear Online and Eye of Judgement.

Oh, and there are film trailers for Courage Under Fire, Beowulf, Stardust, Planet of the Apes, Men of Honor and Alien vs Predator, too.

    I was looking forward to Aqua Vita but you have to have the PS Eye connected to play it, not sure if I want to buy one.

    I've got to get the PS eye soon prferably with Eye of Judgement.

    Eye of Judgement is region free so sneaky people can import it from US for half the price. I got mine from game cos I was trading in stuff but some US sites are doing it for £35 delivered!!!

    Thats quite an impressive display of day 1 support fot the new PS Eye, ive not played any of these games so they might no be brilliant but hopefully this is a sign of things to come for the PS Eye. i always felt the Eye Toy on PS2 never really got enough support.

    Very impressive the PS3 store...NOT.
    Yet you still get fanboys saying "why pay for xbox live when you can get the same for free on the psn." Just compare the content and you'll be very willing to pay the £30 annual fee for xbox live.

    agree and disagree.
    Content is subject to the publishers. My beef is simply that PSN store is so slow if it ever works!!!
    However PSN is better simply because ts free!!! I play Motorstorm and resistance and Warhawk without a problem. (there were connection problems in the beginning)

    At the end of the day I have to pay to play online on 360 (which I do) and I don't pay for my PS3. I know which option I prefer...

    Ignoring the 3/10 from the readers, the press average is still only 58/100.

    However, I'm glad you say it's ace, as I do like the look of it. Might try the (US) demo first though.

    I like Xbox Live, as a downloading and demo service. However, I can't seem to find other players when I'm trying to play online - I don't think I'm the only one intending to ditch gold membership as soon as my free sub runs out...

    Yeah the Eye-toy was going in the right direction with the games, but there didn't seem to be much stuff going for it, personally I think it's the stuffing as many tiny games on one disc that was the problem on the PS2, thankfully the PSN Store can open the door to launching PS Eye games on a per small game basis. :)

    I'd do anything for them to get Crash 3 on the Store A.N.Y.T.H.I.N.G.

    Roamer, ensure that your nat is showing 'open' on the connection test.

    You need to forward ports 3074 and 88 to your xbox IP

    Not checked it out yet but what is the point of releasing a trailer for Tekken online? Where is the online game already?

    A lot of people on other forums are saying 8th Nov, can anyone confirm that date?

    Where the funk is Everyday Shooter then? Surely it can't take that long to customise some menus.

    Playing Gears of War, where there's usually a few games(4-5) available with all filters open. Shadowrun was silly since I couldn't find any games. Carcassone and Puzzle quest are confined to single-player due to lack of online opponents.

    I hate Halo, so maybe it was a stupid time to activate my free sub as everyone seems to play Halo 3 instead of the niche games. It may be as simple as that.

    Who gives a crap? All games don't have to have "depth". Nerds can play GT5 Prologue and leave the rest of us to have simple addictive arcade funs.

    Yeah, four out of five - only PixelJunk Racers doesn't use it. Helpfully, all the four PS Eye using games have a banner at the top of the icon with "Playstation Eye" on them.

    But the R&C demo... Argh! Want SOOO bad! Especially the "distraction weapon" is really cool.

    Apologie - Agreed! I own all 3 next-gen consoles and finally a decent game on the PS3! Although Im still really enjoying Heavenly Sword! ( I know Im the exception - not the rule)
