Wow, that's better than I thought it'd be. I was thinking it's be Banjo Kazooie XBLA HD, not remodelled stuff. Love it :)

I don't know if it even is remodelled. Serious Sam used very clean geometry and lovely high-res textures, even in its day.

I don't see any screens split for multiplayer, though.

It's definitely been re-jigged. The original was nice, but those screens look like they've ported the old game on to the engine they used for Serious Sam 2 (which still looks fantastic)

Looking pretty sweet. I never played the original on the PC except in demo form, my first proper Serious Sam game was the sequel on the Xbox. So this HD redux is going to be a worthwhile purchase for me.

View distance looks nice and far. The 360 has a GeForce7 equivalent in which wasn't out when the game was released (2001) so it looks like they've added a few visual tweaks. In fact, the GeForce 3 (DX8) had just come out when SS was released so 4 generations on it should be lovely and smooth.

Looks nice, but am I right in thinking this game is basically a relentless turkey shoot? Not really what I'm after in a FPS, but might be interesting to try it to see how it plays.

Serious Sam II proper did actually get an xbox release before the format was dropped.
It was easier on Xbox by miles due to generous autoaim and less/slower baddies, the PC version was brutally difficult in the later stages.

Serious Sam didn't come out on the Xbox did it, that was the sequel. Wasn't it only the GameCube and PS2 that got the first game?

Why are people praising the graphics. Blow up the pictures to full rez and I think it looks flat and nasty.

Played Serious Sam back in the day and loved it.

But...I don't do retro gaming.

Give me new games.

Xbox Serious Sam was a combo of the first and second PC games. It also got The PC version of SS2.
Other consoles got the "Next Encounter" spinoff.

Xbox got TSE and TFE together. GC and PS2 got Next Encounter, which was totally new (and worse).

But, this one should be only TFE, according to the other news...

"Dubbed Serious Sam HD, the game will re-imagine The First Encounter, and be created by original developer Croteam. The chaotic first-person shooter, where enemies spawn and overwhelm from every angle, will return with online co-op for four friends. The surreal Egyptian setting will be spread across 12 levels, and we're promised dazzling, revamped visuals."

@wellzy4eva: all XBLA games are required to have trial versions. It's the one reason I prefer it over PSN. Sony should really do something about this. There is a bunch of PSN titles I'll be glad to try, but not quite ready to buy until I know they are to my liking.

Would be amazing if it had 4 player split screen (GRAW had it so why not the simpler SS?). It really does need some local co-op even if it's 2 player (as in EDF).
