First Rock Band 2 tracks confirmed

Motörhead! The Who! The Muffs!

The first batch of Rock Band 2 songs have been revealed in early previews of the game.

According to GameSpot the list is looking similar to the one that emerged earlier this month.

So that means "Ace of Spades" is really on its way, as is "Give It Away" and "Kids in America".

We're going to see the game at E3 next week, so expect our thoughts on it as soon as we can write them.

Until then, here's 10 of the 80 or so songs confirmed so far:

1. "Ace of Spades" by Motörhead
2. "Everlong" by Foo Fighters
3. "Pinball Wizard" by The Who
4. "Panic Attack" by Dream Theater
5. "Any Way You Want It" by Journey
6. "Chop Suey" by System of a Down
7. "Kids in America" by The Muffs
8. "Give It Away" by Red Hot Chili Peppers
9. "Hello There" by Cheap Trick
10. "Pump It Up" by Elvis Costello

That's a lot of songs. But no Radiohead!!!
• cyacomini #11 4 years ago

Radiohead have tracks in RB already so it's a no brainer really - they will probably show up as DLC later on.
• Physically_Insane #12 4 years ago

I thought they only had the one track in RB.
• optimusprym8 #13 4 years ago

• johnnybrn #14 4 years ago

Radiohead lost the plot big time since OK Computer, with most of their songs since then cant be classified as rock.
• johnnybrn #15 4 years ago

Thanks cyacomini!

Great tracklsiting though, a little something for everybody then

• Saturn_Ascends #16 4 years ago

Great list of songs if they're real.

Still a lack of MATURE LYRICS tracks though.

I love to have some Marilyn Manson (I know not everyone's cup of tea so don't start biiiitchin)

• asphaltcowboy #21 4 years ago

"Machinehead - Bush"

OMFG! Are you shitting me?! Ok, a purchase is almost guaranteed now! Damn you RB! Damn YOU!!!!
• Saturn_Ascends #22 4 years ago

Yeah, I'll not be convinced until Harmonix confirm the setlist, which usually happens just prior to release.

Still, APC - Judith, that would get me excited if true. Not quite as excited as GH:WT allegedly having Tool, but still quite happy.
• LazyDan #23 4 years ago

"Bring Me To Life - Evanescence
Anna Molly - Incubus
Comfortably Numb - !!!!!!PINK FLOYD!!!!!!! "

OH GOD IF THIS IS TRUE...

purchased, Purchased, PURCHASED!!!

• johnnybrn #24 4 years ago

madgerald,

I was pissed off when they edited Radioheads - Creep on RB 1. The song has more impact with FUCK in it!

And thats what I have to say to you Physically_Insane. Only joking ;)
• Der_tolle_Emil #25 4 years ago

I'd love to see some Marilyn Manson. Wasn't one of the songs on the latest album planned as DLC for GH3? Anyway, I still think that his songs are amongst the most brilliantly composed songs ever. You instantly know it's a Manson song even if every album sounds really different to the last one. So yes, something from Mechanical Animals would be fantastic; Disassociative if possible.
• Erinan #26 4 years ago

Pink Floyd? PINK FLOYD!!! Holy cow!!!!!!1111eleven!!!!

• madgerald Verified Studio Head of PR & Marketing, Colossal Games LTD #28 4 years ago

@johnnybrn

Agreeed with you with regards to the impact of swearing in a song.

Most players are 18+ me thinks, so why not offer DLC that's rated mature?
• Situacao #29 4 years ago

Most of the "impossible" ones are good.. Pantera, Metallica, Megadeth, Van Halen, Iron Maiden!

GREAT choice of System of a Down track. Some awesome drum work in that one in particular. Interesting variety in the vocals too.

Anyone not familiar with this song, prepare to be converted.

@Der_tolle_Emil
Yes a remix of "putting holes in happiness" was available as DLC via the GH3 soundtrack - its on youtube - http://youtube .com/watch?v=o_Tm_TLgBI0

To be honest, they could have picked a better track - the remix is terrible.

There are so many great tracks from Mechanical Animals - and most of them don't have excessive swearing:
Coma White
Speed of Pain (a bit Pink Floydy)
and Disassociative

Then we get on to the album Holy Wood - so many great rocking songs.
Fight Song
Disposable Teens
The Nobodies
President Dead

Also, some of the covers such as Personal Jesus, Sweet Dreams and Tainted Love

I could go on LOL

I've alway enjoyed, Marliyn but felt that he has forever been living under the shadow cast by Trent. And at times used image to promote his work when the music should have spoken for itself.

That said I would like to see some songs from the Antichrist album.
• kinky_mong #33 4 years ago

Dear Lord I hope most of that rumoured list is false.

Panic at the Disco! If that comes on during a random setlist I'm more likely to shout Fuck Off at the TV.

And why is it always awful Metallica and Iron Maiden stuff in the hardest tier? Fair enough that's an opinion but it's one shared by most sane people. At least if it was good songs it would slightly sweeten the bitter taste of having to repeatedly play ridiculously hard tracks.
• Shyvah #34 4 years ago

Thsi video of Chop Suey has always made me smile... http://uk.y outube.com/watch?v=HBRChmQtM-w
• Fallen_Angel #35 4 years ago

@cyacomini

Well, that list is obviously wrong. It lists Panic Attack as the Finger Eleven version, and this article goes against that, since its the Dream Theatre song.
• asphaltcowboy #36 4 years ago

Anyone not familiar with this song, prepare to be converted.

Sorry, but I really hate SoaD!
• kangarootoo #37 4 years ago

Thats it dude. Turn yourself in at the nearest police station immediately!
• Skurmedel #38 4 years ago

Dream Theater, that is sweeet.

But really, if they wanna have hard Dream Theater tracks they should've chosen "Dance of Eternity", or lol, "A Change of Seasons". 24 minutes of progressive metal could break any Korean gaming addict.
• asphaltcowboy #39 4 years ago

@kangarootoo

I will concede that the bits where Serj actually sings are quite good, there's something about the shouty bits (specifically with SoaD) that really get on my nerves!!
• dudefella #40 4 years ago

DREAM THEATER!!!!!!!!!!!!
• Redeye #41 4 years ago

Maiden, The Who & Floyd in one package.

MINE. :D

That is so GH3. Pick a song, a crappy remix if you must, just to get some unnecessary difficult note layout in there. Nevermind that there are sections in the song where there's not a single note to play to 20 seconds or so. And yes, on top of that the remix is horrible and doesn't have that much in common with the original.
• karaokequeen3 #43 4 years ago

Foos is nice. But Raining Blood would have been a laugh on Nightmare. I mean, could you imagine replicating Dave Lombardo's drumming?
• Zomoniac #44 4 years ago

Oh god. So to get my achievements I have to play through the hour-long whine-shit-fucking-wank-beyond-all-description abomination that is November Rain? Cunts. And why Testify instead of Know Your Enemy?
• andywilkie35 #45 4 years ago

kinky_mong - "And why is it always awful Metallica and Iron Maiden stuff in the hardest tier? Fair enough that's an opinion but it's one shared by most sane people. At least if it was good songs it would slightly sweeten the bitter taste of having to repeatedly play ridiculously hard tracks. "

absolutely spot on. Its like the song is so awful they have to try and make it really difficult to cover up the lack of ability.

still, at least its not the rasmus!
• andywilkie35 #46 4 years ago

"Oh god. So to get my achievements I have to play through the hour-long whine-shit-fucking-wank-beyond-all-description abomination that is November Rain? "

and again, i 100% agree. when they wrote it they were clearly high fiving each other going "oh my god this song is so long its epic!". shame they forgot to actually make it decent.
