So I need to bite the bullet and buy it on the 360 now. Shame, I like the noiselevel on my PS3 better.

Perfectly timed for me. I expect I will have done most of the game by the time it's released.

I guess im expecting to much if the patch on the ps3 version addressed the fact that if you did missions before the throphy patch came out then you don't get the trophies for those missions unless you start over?

Gonna save all the DLC for a replay in Spring. Means I forget loadsa stuff about the stories/places, and go back a bit fresher. And have more content! woo!

For £7?? This can't be right, can it??

Don't get your hopes up if you're after another ps3 patch. There isn't a new one today; it's just a wider release of the existing one. Although they do seem to be claiming that it mystically fixes a load of stuff that wasn't mentioned when they first released the PS3 patch

How many forms of tech-based entertainment can you get for less than £1.50 an hour?

But hey, if you don't like the price wait for a sale... or something.

That takes it from 'washing machine' down to 'hairdryer'. I've installed the Talismoon Whisper Fan, which makes it a little bit quieter, but it's still 4 times louder than the PS3.

Can't wait. Finished the story not too long ago after 90 hours or so, to clear the way for the DLC, so can't wait to get the new fix. Still got plenty of places to still visit in it yet, but it'll be nice to have some new quests to do!

But that will probably come in at 15hrs worth of gameplay for an extra £20 of a game you love?
Also if you were one of the canny folk who bought the game at a reduced rate of £20 to start with it'll bring it in at average retail price.

I sadly got it on the PS3 so i'll be missing out on the fun. I do however have about 10 games to complete so I'll hopefully get over it.

Well, the patch didn't resolve the game breaking bug that I've been constantly experiencing. So, back on the shelf Fallout 3. What was that? Knothole what?

Dear Eurogamer,
Will I get to see a review of this content thingy at some point? I would very much like to and would do all of my chores early if that would help. Thank you, Mr Eurogamer,

Well the patch did absolutely nothing to fix the distorted radio music for me when listening to it from the Pip-boy, which is disappointing as the game is otherwise flawless for me. The really bizarre thing is that not only do the other sound effects, music and radio dialogue play fine but the music you hear from the radios playing that you find scattered around in the game world is also fine. So it clearly isn't a sound driver bug but an issue with the game itself. Weird.

@Buenos_Estente:

This, the first of three chunky DLC packs, will cost 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60) from Xbox Live Marketplace and Games for Windows Live.

Games for Windows Live is for the PC. And since Bethesda already introduced paying for small plugins with Oblivion, it was 100% sure they'd do the same thing with Fallout. But I predict nobody buying it, because who in his right mind uses Games for Windows Live?

Judging from the comments on Bethesda's forums still doesn't fix some of the freezes during the main quest, making the game unfinishable.

I'm just glad nothing major happened to me on my playthrough, other than having four Megaton residents mysteriously fall to their deaths.

Um, I thought that the reason the PS3 didn't get any DLC had nothing to do with any exclusivity agreement with MS, but was rather due to technical reasons regarding the PS3's memory?

Oh toss.

This and the upcoming Fable 2 DLC have just resulted in my first purchase of XBL points in nearly a year.

Left 4 Dead is also pushing me toward finally renewing my lapsed gold membership.

How will I feed my army of imaginary children I ask you?*

*that bit about imaginary children sounded a bit wrong, in hindsight.

Where did you hear that about the PS3's memory being the problem? From what I've heard it's all about MS bribing Bethesda, just like they did with Rockstar regarding GTA4.

It’s not called bribing, it’s called buying. Much like buying an original IP, Microsoft have bought the rights to additional content. That content may not have happened at all had Microsoft not put the money forward for it in the first place. Seems like a perfectly good business model to me, gives people more reason to buy a multiplatform game on your platform over a rivals.

I’m sure there will be more of that from both camps in the future, the publishers will like it as they’ll gain monies from both exclusivity deals and sales revenue.

Its a bit of a bummer this isn't coming out on PS3. I've got my fingers crossed for a GOTY-esque Edition nearer Xmas with all this put in. Then I'll swap out my copy for a bigger one!

Microsoft payed for the DLC. It will not be coming to the PS3 in a GOTY edition unfortunately. Unless you mean swapping the PS3 version for PC/360 GOTY edition?

@Radish: Spot on mate.

If Sony really gave a shit about their gamers maybe they'd fork out money for developers to produce exclusive DLC...

Oh no, sorry, they're operating at a loss this year so they're tightening their belts. Hey ho, I guess they can still wait for a kind developer to throw them a freebie bone like they did with Bioshock...
