Surely the use of the word "Nazi" is politically incorrect :P i.e. Axis = politically correct!

No, just historically correct.

Please tell me you were kidding Lerxter and were just trying to get a laugh? It's bad enough with all this politically correct bollox these days as it is.

Although I thought the beach landing level in MOHAA was great, nothing portrays the feeling of almost insurmountable odds and hopelessness as well as the omaha beach level in BF1942. Actually playing against real opponents with superior firepower is awesome.

Then you play the PS2 version of frontline and are totally underwhelmed by the lack of NPCs and the soldiers appearing Mr Bens shopkeeper style to be saved.

At least the PS2 version of the Omaha beach level was vaguely playable. I had to quicksave about thirty times or something crazy on the PC to get past it.

Yeah - I thought the PS2 Omaha level was better than the PC one myself. Plus the explosions are better on the PS2 version - much more satisfying.

Yeah - I've never understood why everyone found that level so difficult. I completed it on about my third go and now I know the route through the minefield it's a piece of piss! Just duck and hide behind the big iron tank blocker things until the machine gun fire dies down. Then stand up and run to the next one up the beach and duck again. Wait for the machine guns to stop and repeat until you get to the top of the beach.

Then meet the officer and run to get the bangalores. Duck and wait for the explosion, then run up to the cover behind the building. Run to the craters and get the sniper gun to take out the machine gunners. Then run to the trench et voila!

Not the Nazis the Germans ... fool!

I was merely pointing out that game developers have to go out of their way to avoid the N word. It seems that people lack tack when it doesn't really effect them. I know because my Mum spent most of her time as a child avoiding Nazis and then the Russians...

another patriotic game about the yanks beating the nazis single handed.

Notice the man that hasn't read the preview above, nor read up on the m/player aspects. /tuts/

What about making the game where the Germans actually win something.

I mean if you watch nearly every war film ever made the germans are always inept and end up getting mashed.

I just think it would make a nice change as after all they did practically fight every other major country on earth for over 5 years.

A kind of adventure styled FPS in the vein of Fatherland.

That'd be kind of cool. Of course you'd have to be sticking it to the Nazis.
