FFXII: Revenant Wings gets date
DS exclusive early next year.
Square Enix has said that Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings will be out in Europe early next year.
This exclusive DS title picks up events a year after Final Fantasy XII, catching up with familiar faces Vaan, Penelo, Fran and Balthier. The story this time will see you embark on an adventure to a long lost land in the sky, one remembered only in fairy tales.
Returning is the Gambit system to dish out automated battle commands, alongside new touch-screen controls which are all very neat and clever according to the publisher.
There will also be the usual graphical polish and tinkling melodies we've come to expect from the series, as well as lots of new bits and pieces to collect and craft into new items.
Final Fantasy XII was released earlier this year on PS2 to rapturous critical applause. It was among a handful of titles to prove that Sony's ageing console was far from finished.
