Nope, FFVII was badly translated and had a lot of plotholes. FFVIII was a lot more straightforward, had better, more believable characters and was much prettier. Plus, why does a bit of romance in a game have to be a bad thing? There was a romantic angle in FFVII, but no one ever complains about that, do they?

I got it just fine, but that doesn't change the fact there were more than a couple of plot points which either made little sense or just weren't explained satisfactorily enough.
Possibly a side effect of the piss poor translation, I don't know. Come on though, are you saying you were COMPLETELY satisfied with the whole thing? I wasn't. |

I am. Man the scene when you first enter Ragnarok after killing the 3 pairs of the mobs (eyes on me) and the whole space thing was hilarius. Me: Boss can I leave 3 hours earlier today? Boss: Hell no, why? Me: I have to save Rinoa for the 20nd time. B: Wtf is she? Me: Nevermind. Must. Play. Again. Now.
