Ferrari Challenge live chat this week

Mark Cale to answer your questions.

Eurogamer readers will get to interview System 3 boss Mark Cale about Ferrari Challenge on Wednesday afternoon.

The game's been out for a little while (read the review if you like - no pressure), and Wednesday will give you the chance to ask about the initial offering and future plans for downloadable content and new features.

"To be able to talk directly to the readers of Eurogamer is an unmissable opportunity," Cale said when we asked him to say something for this bit of the website. "We're looking forward to some difficult questions, but more than that, we're relishing the opportunity to talk directly to our fanbase."

All you have to do to join in the fun is turn up on Eurogamer.net at 4pm BST (UK time) / 5pm CET on Wednesday and log into your Eurogamer account. (Don't have one? Register today). You will then be able to submit questions.

Thanks to our exciting LiveText interview system, Cale will then be able to answer them directly and you will see the answers without even having to refresh the page.

If that sounds good, we'll see you on Wednesday afternoon. And if you miss out, don't worry - you will still be able to check out the archived conversation afterward.

This should be good. Would like to find out a little more on the extra content coming soon...

Would not mind getting confirmation on the possibility of a Monaco Night Race or night racing generally.

I'd for one would like to know about possibility of getting Nordschleife track. That would be great driving with some old Ferrari.

What I really love about this game is that those cars really feed so different from each other and old cars feel like old cars. :)

Man, Green Hell would be awesome.

I'll be asking him just ecaxtly how gimped is the Wii version I'm considering buying and why aren't there any decent hand-on type reviews/previews out there. V frustrating.

could someone ask if they can create an option to reduce the volume of opponents cars in bonnet cam...? can't hear my own engine and gear changes... and do ferraris really sound like that when you downshift too early?
  • SharkVLion #8 4 years ago

Add a patch for proper DFP config; The wheel support is terrible and needs improving; at least add the ability to be able to invert the DFP shifter direction to what is considered standard in race cars; ie, pull back to shift up and forwards to shift down.

Oh and, the idea of using the handbrake during circuit racing in a Ferrari is miles away from reality ;) so remove the 'hot tip' fopr this; this just makes the thing appear chav; Fridge Racer springs to mind

oh - and G25 clutch support, and feedback control - and autocentering after calibration
  • Lymmusic #10 4 years ago

The joys of being able to patch games after release... anyone else remember the days when once you bought a game that was it? no extra content, no bug fixes.... we're truly spoilt... if this game had clutch support and lower opponent engine noise on bonnet-cam i would play it more than gt5 prologue with the G25...

Did you really say this game "could never be done on a 360"? If so, why can't it be done?

good to hear that about the sound - where'd you hear that?

mark cale said that? well, i suppose it would be quite tricky to port a game coded on the ps2 to 360.... :)

I won't be able to make it at that time, so can somebody challenge him about formula one cars, the full nurburgring circuit and why there's only 22 cars in the game when the back of the box says over 50 - if we have to pay for the other 30-plus I will be pissed.

Ask him why it isn't out in Ireland. I checked on the day of release and no sign of it. I checked on Tuesday in HMV and also Gamestop and no sign of it there either.

Im new to this site. Kinda just made the acount to participate in this chat.

But how do I start the chat window ?
  • KayJay #17 4 years ago

A little closer to 4 EG will have a front page with an open text box to ask your question and below that EG will auto update the live text with the selected chosen Questions and the answers.

No pop ups or separate pages to open you just show up ask your question and sit back. You don't even need to reload the page.

    Technology heh... :-)

Is "I don't like your game, why didn't you make it better?" A valid question, even with the fact my opinion makes up part of the question? I guess not. I could complain about a lot, but I'll try and be more constructive. I'll try and ask TippyTappys' questions, since I can't be bothered making up my own.

Nice and constructive post their DFawkes.

I thought so. I'll pass on asking that, but I will as about this number of cars thing. If it says 50, that means 50 seperate cars to me.
