If it's £15 then that's not a bad price at all. I played the generous (in terms of content) Japanese demo last week and although it's certainly not the greatest game ever, the graphics and handling are noticeably improved over the awful Xbox 360 version so it's at least reasonable fun to play to now. I didn't notice any texture pop in either although the tearing is sadly still there. I'm still going to wait for Wipeout HD though.

So this means that Wipeout HD is coming even later in Europe...
Or is FA EX pushed back so that Wipeout HD will get an early release?

I played the Jap demo too, tedious as hell. Slow craft, dull tracks and weapons (although the magnets are a nice idea they don't seem to do much) no challenge.

Come on Wipeout!

I'm definitely having that for £15. Really enjoyed the Japanese demo (though it's apparently not to everybody's taste...)

I'll end up buying this - most likely from the US store on the 19th - but only because we probably won't be seeing WipEout HD until July or August... 2009.

I thought that game (WipEout) was pretty much finished - lots of new videos and screenshots a month or two ago, and I've even seen a ten minute video compilation of someone playing a German version (at least an indication of that the usual "localization issues" excuse might not be valid here), so what the hell are they waiting for?
Unexpected bugs needing fixing or are Sony just stalling the release for whatever financial or other reasons they may have?

-1 to that Nick.

Unless you mean it's only worth talking about how it's not as good as Wipeout. ;)

F-Zero should only be used as a contrast to show just how much more awesome Wipeout is.

Its sad that in my wipeout-less state I have been reduced to reading about fatal inertia ex.

*sighs despondently*

On the upside, I got a free copy of mgs4 because I answered a question right at the launch party. ;-)

IIRC the developers original comments were that it could only be done with the power of the PS3. Now i know as well as anyone that that was an advertising ploy, but after playing the revamped demo i can't help but feel its almost too much of a coincidence how bad it was on the 360. i don't mean to sound like a fanboy, i've played many good games on the 360, but is it possible that this really can only work on the ps3...i dunno, maybe Sony has finally gotten to me, but i can't help feeling it would be an amusing advertising ploy at the very least "Fatal Inertia, it really can only work with the power of the PS3"...even if they would very likely get raped through the teeth by sueing from microsoft. I might be tempted to get this game, depending on how the ship customisation works....i'm a geek what can i say, a physics based racing game is my heaven, scratch that any game heavily physics based is my heaven (if you don't get what i mean, go play portal). on teh other hand it didn't feel anywhere near as fast as F-zero or wipeout....
