Fatal Inertia better on PS3
KOEI spending more time on it.
KOEI has told Eurogamer that futuristic racer Fatal Inertia will be a better game on PS3.
The company is spending more time on it after the 360 version failed to ignite critical fuses when it was released in September. According to a spokesperson for the publisher, they're polishing up technical areas and putting together a more enticing demo than Live customers were treated to.
New content is a possibility, too, although nothing concrete is known at this point.
KOEI US recently offered next spring as an expected date for the title. However, we were told nothing has been decided internally and it is currently "in development for 2008", as it's always been.
Fatal Inertia began life as a PS3 exclusive, but met delays because it was fiddly getting it to work with Unreal Engine 3.
The game lets you zip around interesting courses like canyons and caves in futuristic flying ships, using all sorts of innovative weaponry to hamper the progress of your opponents.
Unfortunately it was let down by a poor frame rate and ill-conceived technical features in the 360 version. KOEI is hoping to iron out those kinks in time for the PS3 release.
Head over to our Fatal Inertia review to find out more.

I'm getting Wipeout HD. A downloadable game is better then Koei's finest.

Look at the PSP threads. Does that answer your question?
EDIT: But I do hope you weren't referring to Fatal Inertia as "great".

Fanboy bait topic (as usual) and PR related headline (for the company - as usual).

I absolutely loved this game on the original Xbox. It got bloody hard on the later stages, though.

Best racing series ever, IMO

I didn't find the visuals totally awful, but the handling, sensation of speed, annoying weapons, and strange soundtrack break what could have been a below average game
Oh, and poor track design.

Can't belive the second one got canned.

It's unlikely, the studio closed and the main designer is currently employed by Sony.

Yeah I know - read the article about Curly Monsters in EDGE a bit back - how shocked they were at MS giving them the finger so to speak. And then they bought Rare….go figure.
And to anyone insinuating that Quantum Redshift - is somehow a Wipeout rip-off – the team was made up of people that had made the original Wipeout games.
So if you want to argue semantics you could say that the follow up Wipeout games were Wipeout rip-offs and the true successor was Quantum Redshift.
I still feel sure it did so poorly was in no small part due to the name of it.

Yes, I'd agree with that statement wholeheartedly. This pile of shit game was meant to be a PS3 launch title exclusive. I have no idea why the fuckwits known as KOEI decided to devalue the 360 by porting it over in the first place. 360 owners never wanted this lost exclusive in the first place, it's shit, so yeah, it IS better off on the PS3. I just wish KOEI hadn't left this turd stain of a title smeared on the 360's catalogue.
