Fat Princess patched with new map today
Also: it's ModNation Racers beta time.
Patch 1.04 for Fat Princess is released today, says the PlayStation blog, and it includes a free new map.
The map's called Brownie Town and it's city-themed. Among the fixes is the correction of a problem with online rankings whereby Team Deathmatch and Invasion all-time and monthly scores weren't posting correctly.
Elsewhere on PSN, it's worth reminding you that the European beta for intriguing build-your-own kart racer ModNation Racers begins tomorrow, and today's the day you'll be able to download the client from the PlayStation Store.
There are 100,000 places on the beta, and it's first come, first served, so watch for that PSN update like a hawk. The beta includes four premade tracks, two exclusive to Europe, plus the chance to make your own.

Wizlon: you may have been out of luck last year or before when the PSN usually updated around noon but it doesn't tend to update until 5pm or sometimes 6pm these days so you should be able to get in fine.

The game looks fantastic, it's cute, amusing, the team aspect is well developed... And all that is for naught because there is horrific network lag, a really painful process to find a game, and more often than not the host quits after a game or two sending you back to square one.
A free map is appreciated but I would much rather dedicated hosting.

I wanted to play it much longer than I did! Didn't even touch the track builder, unfortunately - spent a ton of time designing a vehicle, had a few online races...gosh, I can't wait for that game!!!

Gameplay I can't really comment on as there only seems to be online and time trial unlocked at the moment and I suffered a deadstate almost immediately after finishing a time trial. I'm gonna try again tomorrow and try to do everything there is to do to see if I can get a feel for the game, I just wish some of the single player had been included in the beta, hopefully there'll be a proper demo or another iteration of the beta closer to release day.
