Fat Princess on PSN today, but no Trine
Sony predicts PlayStation Store update.
Sony has pre-announced the things it expects to put on the PlayStation Store today, but Trine sadly won't be among them.
Fat Princess is the headliner at a controversial £12.99/€14.99 compared to $14.99 in the States, and the other downloadable PS3 release is Watchmen: The End is Nigh Part 2 for £9.99/€12.99.
There's a demo version of Watchmen Part 2 going up there as well, and PS3 and PSP owners can both download a demo of Numblast, which came out the other week.
For full games, PSP owners get a choice between Samurai Warriors: State of War (£13.99/€17.99) and Unbound Saga (£11.99/€14.99).
So what's going on with Trine? According to a post on the official forums (thanks vg247), "yet another small bug" had to be fixed before release.
"I can't tell for sure when the release is coming, as no-one really seems to know," wrote the developer. "Also, I have no idea are EU and NA releases timed differently." Ah well, judging by the PC version, it should be worth the wait.
Away from the full game downloads, for downloadable content there's a free update for Fight Night Round 4 that introduces a sponsored tournament, new training gym, new gameplay sliders and "a few extra bits of kit".
EA also has another course available for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10. This time it's Cog Hill for £4.79/€5.99.
And finally, those of you who bought Rag Doll Kung Fu but couldn't be bothered to go to the trouble of unlocking all the costumes can shortcut that with the Time Savers Pack for £1.19/€1.99.
That's assuming any of that goes up - Sony is experimenting with pre-announcements on the PlayStation Blog, but admits it's subject to last-minute change if the unforeseeable happens.

Unbound Saga might end up taking my cash then. It's gotten some OK reviews stateside, and I'm not particularly bothered by Fat Princess.
Not as good as last week then, but far from the worst.

Couldn't resist WA2. I play more old than new games these days.

Too bad about Trine, but as I'll be getting Fat Princess this week anyway and got Shatter and Fury last week, I'm almost grateful it didn't come out this week.

I'd be happy to pay quite a lot of money if they would release Wild Arms 2 (and 1) in Europe, but apparently Sony don't want me to. A friend showed me their Us account the other night and it's disgusting how much we don't have. Switching around accounts on PSP is a bit of a pain though. I'm considering using my old PSP as a US one when I pick up a Go, but it's still a load of hassle.

The more players there are the harder it gets strangely - as you have to approach and solve each puzzle the game throws at you in order to get all the characters through it. In single player you just by-pass half of the game with the thief

I just have my PSP set to the US account permanently.
Whenever I get something PSPish from the EU store, I dl it on the PS3 and copy it from there.
EDIT: Oh, I guess you have no PS3. Then: switching accounts on the PSP is a bit of work, but not so much that it can't be done once in a while. Especially as I suppose you can see what's available from the PC and only switch when you want to get something.

Fat Princess is looking... a bit overinflated... at that price, even though it's meant to be brilliant. With two great games in one week (and still trying to get around Trash Panic and Wipeout Fury from previous weeks, not to mention the KZ2 expansion and Battlefield), it's not surprising that they spread them out a bit. Heck of a month for the PSN (and my wallet :/ ).
