Fallout 3 special edition only for US
No Euro announcement "yet".
Bethesda has said the Survival Edition of Fallout 3 recently unveiled on Amazon will only be offered to US shoppers.
However, speaking to Eurogamer, a representative for the developer did say there was no European announcement to make "yet" - suggesting perhaps there are plans in the pipeline.
Amazon showed off the Survival Edition last week. Inside is a replica Pip-Boy 3000 wrist-mounted clock, a metal Vault-Tec lunch box, a Vault Boy Bobblehead toy, hardback art book and a Making of Fallout 3 DVD.
The PS3 and 360 versions will cost USD 79.99, while the PC offering is priced at USD 69.99.
Amazon also suggests the post-apocalyptic role-playing game will be out on 7th October. According to Bethesda the official date has yet to be locked down, but it should be around that time.
Fallout 3 is shaping up to be one of the most impressive releases of the year. Pop over to our Fallout 3 gamepage to find out why.

That's only because we all had to play double the US rate for Rock Band.

Correct, the story needs updating because at the moment it's wrong!

I think you meant to say "Pay", I still agree though... for that price we also have to play twice as long

So with the current (non)value of the Dollar, that means pretty much the same as we will be paying for the regular version here in Europe?
Actually, almost exactly the same as the typical price for a new PS3 and 360 games here in Denmark - around USD 112,-.

I sure don't care about paying for a digital version of the game UNO, and I can't imagine someone caring, but it did sell.

Well I would bet US wages are down at the moment too with their economy all shot to shit and stuff.. so I guess it kinda evens out though their prices seems much lower than the prices in Denmark. BTW. buy your games from England it's much cheaper
I just pre-ordered MSG4 at 70 $.. pretty cheap

I rarely even buy games online from Danish stores - with many releases I want to be sure I get my impatient hands on them on release day
I've recently started buying Blu-ray movies and DVD season box sets from Amazon.co.uk though - there's usually a bit of money to save there, and I've also gotten hold of a few region free Blu-ray imports from the US that way.

what do u mean "the good stuff"? I've yet to find a uk retailer who will tell me what the contents are in the european "collectors edition". At the moment its all pointing to the typical 'limited' steel notebook case thing. Maybe you know something that i don't?

We're just getting the regular collectors edition, which is the same as the survival edition, minus the clock.
* Fallout 3: From the creators of the award-winning Oblivion comes one of the most realized game worlds ever created. Create any kind of character you want and explore the open wastes of post-apocalyptic Washington, D.C. Every minute is a fight for survival as you encounter Super Mutants, Ghouls, Raiders, and other dangers of the Wasteland. Prepare for the future.
* Vault Boy Bobblehead: Enjoy your very own Vault Boy with this collector’s item direct from Vault-Tec.
* The Art of Fallout 3: This hardcover book features nearly 100 pages of never-before seen concept art and commentary from Bethesda Game Studios artists.
* The Making of Fallout 3: Get an exclusive, inside look at Bethesda Game Studios and the team behind the game with this special DVD.
* Vault-Tec Lunch Box: The entire package comes in a fully customized metal lunchbox.

I want that full US special edition with the clock and the lunchbox because its all so gloriously tacky but is also " so about the game "....I am a geek, and that is geek collection stuff.
As for all of you who are obviously not geeks in anyway ( how can you be, you play video games )...pooey pooey pants pants is the most sensible thing I can say to you all.
Collectors Editions, Special Editions, & Limited Editions for the win.

but where is that info from? play, shopto, game and amazon don't seem to say what is in their "limited" editions. And the fact that they are charging an extra tenner over the standard edition doesn't make me think that what's in those limited editions are the items in the list that you posted. LEs of that type are usually £60-70.

Well, the Oblivion collectors edition came with very similar items, and cost around the same amount. (special case, dvd, coin, artbook), and I don't see why we'd be getting a different collectors edition from the US. All they've said is that we aren't getting the survival edition. I guess we'll know soon enough though.
