Fallen Earth to drop in September News

MMO PC News by Robert Purchese

22 July, 2009

Fallen Earth (the company) has announced that Fallen Earth (the game) will launch on 9th September.

This is the post-apocalyptic MMO that bravely ditches levels and classes in favour of a skill and attribute-based advancement. The world, in Fallen Earth's words, is "gritty and challenging".

And it will cost; although how much is still undecided.

We had a look at Fallen Earth three months ago, in April. How far the game has come since then we don't know, but the polish needed was considerable. There's time, and we hope Fallen Earth uses it to deliver what could be a very refreshing break from the norm.

The visuals certainly look challenging on the eyes.

I was part of the beta for this and wasn't that impressed; I played about an hour and just couldn't care about it at all. Weak writing and voice acting, choppy combat, lag-lag-lag, and just an all-around blah factor kept me away. Maybe it would get more interesting once I got out of the dam, but I never did.

Please don't start using that 4 year old "street" vocabulary :(
