Brilliant choice of name. Blue Harvest was the codename for Return of the Jedi, used by the film crew for ages to try to prevent people finding out that the third chapter was being filmed...

On a serious note. The budgets that are bandied about for how much it costs to make a AAA game have long lead me to believe there is serious corruption and fraud going on. I come to work each day and there is no way in hell that the dev teams and artists, sound etc. etc costs 10 - 20 million to run for a full game cycle. Someone somewhere is taking either a rediculous multi-million dollar pay cheque home each quarter or it's just plain fraud!

I love the use of the word "switcheroo".
Would have liked to have seen "The Ol' Switcheroo". That would have been PROPER old skool. |

Marketing costs a hell of a lot, and you would not believe how much the rent will cost on the office building you are sitting in. Then there is the staff and premises of the publisher to consider. How likely is it really that fraud is behind every AAA high budget title out there? Your grasp of the numbers involved is perhaps a more likely culprit. |

@penhalion.. how about work out the average salary, times this by say 200 - 340 people and then times that by 2-4 years development... i would be interested in the figure that you come out with :D
