So mummy won't buy you both boxes, boo hoo. That doesn't necessitate blindly slating everything that comes out on the other platform. The sensible few who rightly uphold this attitude clearly haven't forgotten that the medium that everyone here loves (I assume that's why everyone is here, not severe attention seeking) benefits from developers creating these great titles. I don't care if someone publishes the next AAA must buy title on my fucking microwave as long as it plays well and lives up to expectations. Who threw about the cash to get the exclusivity deals should be exempt from conversation when discussing the quality of a game.

Noone could possibly pick up a controller on the platform they declare this unbridled, pathetic hate war against and fail to find at least title they enjoy. Amusingly, whatever they choose may well be a platform exclusive.

Regarding the scoring- If you aggregate up every score EG gives a 360 or PS3 game, it's rather likely that one is going to be higher than the other- if every majorly hyped title got the same 10/10 score that'd be rather boring, and I'd have a lot more questions about journalistic integrity.

Anyway got this preordered, really looking forward to shitstorm of games that's about to rain down on my house over the next couple of months!

I hope Shigeru Miyamoto is paying attention, Zelda badly needs a shake up and Fable's brand of narrative driven gameplay, with plenty of freedom to to explore free from the beaten path could really benefit the series

Don't get excited yet, it might still be shit when played like it was the case with Bioshock and Oblivion. You're confusing review information with actual gameplay experience.

I was hoping for a high score because that would validate my existance and now I feel validated, Someday the ability to clout people across the head for being idiots via the internet will exist... preferably some sort of unyielding titanium hand of unmitigated fury that activites when anything fanboyish or hyperbole is posted in a message broad or comments thread.

On a side note I look forward to playing this game and seeing if it lives up to expectations as I have not played it and cannot jugde until I have (crazy thinking I know), heres to hope.

Vanmunt, Got agree with you there. After reading Edge review of Saints Row 2, I'm even more surprised by EG's reviews. Then again, I've never rated EG for their taste in quality. Swift news delivery and fanboy fun topics is where they're at and all the good for it.

Dagnammitski! I loved the original Fable and Fable II and Fallout 3 are looking damned tempting for ole obycyek at the moment. I have stubbornly refused to go next gen so far but these two games really do look like offering something special and truly next gen and I think I will finally splash the cash on an Xbox 360.

I may have gone overboard with enthusiasm. What I meant is that it's nice to see that the review seems to have made everyone happy - for once. Regardless of whether anyone's played it yet, people seem to be sighing with relief and giving Lionhead pats on the back. Which is nice, in case I hadn't mentioned that.

You're right though - we should brace ourselves for the torrents of inevitable bitching to come - and, most importantly, prepare for the possibility that we won't like the game nearly as much as Chris Donlan does.

BTW: Bioshock is awesome.

ah good, so I am not the only one who rather would beleive 'the bigoted' EDGE. I also subscribe to GamesTM, which when compared to EDGE scores you do get a very genuine factual opinion... not like you said fanboyhitbaitning scores... oh and when I noticed the Fable banner I did worry!!

Only had a quick go on Fable at my mates and thought it was pretty good myself. Hope he gets F2 as well 'cause i want a look but don't have an xbox. Hopefully Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3 will keep me happy though. Of all the MS exclusives this is the one i'm most disappointed about not playing. Oh, and the racers of course.

+1. And lets not forget the 10/10 ratings for bioshock (short and easy), and halo 3...

I'll wait and pick it up second hand cheap when everyone's completed it in a weeks time and the 2nd hand market is flooded with copies.

People think that because there are ads for Fable it got a 10? If that were the case, wouldn't LBP have gotten a 10 as well? If any game has ever been plastered all over any site, it's LBP on EG.

Also, I would think Fable would've gotten 10's on just about every site seeing as it's being advertised everywhere.
