I hope this is great, the definitive F1 game and a must-buy. Pleeeease be true. I want no stone left unturned, I want everything that can happen on the track to happen in the game. As for control style, I lean toward arcade rather than sim (sorry...) but again I hope the Codies can cater for both.

I still rate Grid as the best (=most fun) racer I've ever played, the AI drivers react really well, and the cars have a great feel to them. Plus, the slick visuals, of course.

I heard Digital Polyphony added a complete Formula 1 Tour as part of the now infamous "last 10%". Only thing remaining is the accurate perspiration-simulation physics engine to get the visors to mist over at the correct time. I'm still young, I can wait.

gotta be honest i wasnt actually that bothered about this... but the more shots i see the more i wanna play it. if they get the damage right on it n failures etc itll be awesome. be interesting to see what polyphony do with f1... apparently they can add cars up to 2008/9??

Interesting how none of the cars have any 'driver' branding (i.e. that HRT doesn't have Karun/Bruno on the side).

I know, it's obviously it's because 'you' take up the seat in the car, but surely they could have added driver-specific decals (after all, GRID was customisable in that fashion).

@Helios_CM - great! I'd want the closest color representation to what I see on the tv. Even if its dull and grimy, if you match the real thing it will always feel more real for me.

The water on the cars effect is a bit odd - maybe it would sit like that if they were parked up - but travelling at up to 200 mph I don't think it would stay around in nice little droplets.
