They could have been playing on a low difficulty setting. You know how Halo's enemies get more cunning and careful on higher difficutlies? Well the first two games were like that. On easy they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and basically just sat there, but on the highest difficulty (unlocked by finishing the game on hard mode) they would reposition themselves to prevent flanking attacks and counter-attack if you tried to force them into a corner. |

I do hate games where AI teammates do bugger all. Battlefield Bad Company for example.
You're supposed to be a newbie among veterans yet they're veterans who are entirely useless at shooting stuff leaving you to do it! It breaks the immersion especially if you have no way of controlling them. CoD just about gets away with it because there's so much going on to distract you. Amusingly, the player and his squad in the vids barely come up against the problem of destructible cover. Which begs the question, why bother putting it in when you can get by anyway?

Loved the first game, never bought the second (looked too similar) and I'm not desperate to play this version either. Games set in WWII are just so... passe these days IMO. It doesn't help that the gameplay doesn't seem to have evolved much from the Xbox version. It looks prettier and the A.I. is probably smarter but that's not enough to persuade me to buy it. Had this game not been so heavily delayed then I may well have bought it as my interest in WWII games has only really waned in the last year... since Call of Duty 4 actually.
