Eurogamer's E3 coverage

Live conference reports, previews and TV shows all week.

Eurogamer is all set to report live on the three platform holder press conferences as they unfold at E3 next week, starting with Microsoft on Monday.

The Xbox 360 megacorp will be showing off new games and making big announcements at the LA Convention Center at 6.30pm UK time (7.30pm CET) on Monday.

Immediately after the show, we'll also be bringing you in-depth coverage of several of the key games that have been demonstrated - with hands-on impressions, screenshots and video.

Then on Tuesday we'll be reporting live from Nintendo and Sony's conferences.

Nintendo is first at 5pm UK time (6pm CET) in the Kodak Theater, and while we'd love to say we have lots of exciting stuff going up when that one finishes, sadly Shigeru Miyamoto did not invite us over to his house.

We will be playing through a number of new Nintendo games shortly after the conference though, so watch out for hands-on coverage of those as the week progresses.

Then finally Sony is set to show off its stuff at The Shrine Auditorium in downtown LA on Tuesday at 7.30pm UK time (8.30pm CET).

With Phil Harrison gone, will new Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida take up the microphone? Or will he leave it all to Kaz Hirai and the other regulars? We shall see.

And we haven't forgotten about PC gamers either! There's no conference for you, but we are going to be seeing some key games - including Fallout 3 and Dragon Age - and Eurogamer MMO will be reporting on the latest rat-punching epics.

Never content, we'll also have a ton of previews and TV specials to help you get to grips with what's being shown.

In fact, while the E3 show itself begins on Tuesday, we're not waiting for that - so check out the site first thing on Monday for a hands-on report on a big game in a series close to a lot of Eurogamer readers' and writers' hearts.

Chances of Mirror's Edge being announced as PS3 Timed Exclusive - 82.456%

Think about it - 1st Trailer at the Sony Day in London
Dev saying PS3 Development is easier
All the Latest previews being on the PS3 Build.

I'd like it to be. Mirror's Edge is my Number 1 anticipated game, ahead of Uncharted 2

It's Alan Wake that I'm having most interest in so I'll be looking forward to the Microsoft conference - though the way it's been kept secret I doubt there'll be any new news. I'm also hoping that there'll be confirmation of a European release of Fatal Frame 4 on the Wii.

I hope that Borderlands will be shown in greater detail. The CG trailer had me really interested in that. Anything further on Dead Space is always welcome, of course, Mirror's Edge, and...Heavenly Sword 2, and Tomb Raider (Show Underworld FOOTAGE!) There'll be lots of great stuff coming from E3, though, no doubt.
I think this is setting up to be a really big second half of the year, because people are starting to utilise the platforms properly, and we're seeing Microsoft and Sony go off in their own directions more, broadening the games that are available, while keeping a strong multiplatform element so those third-party games reach the largest possible audience.

Really looking forward to this show! :)

If Nintendo do not announce one of the following:

    1080 Snowboarding
    Pikmin
    Pilotwings
    Star Fox (Lylat Wars)
    Wave Race

I will be ever so slightly irritated and lose even more respect for Nintendo.

Ico 3, or 'Trico' as the cool kids seem to be calling it.

That game is the only thing that would make me want a PS3.
  • Krelle #10 4 years ago

1080 Snowboarding must be a perfect fit for the WiiFit-thingy, ne?
  • Fuser #11 4 years ago

@ Cloudane - why would you lose respect for Nintendo if they dont announce even more followups to old games, and choose to do something new? Sounds to me like they would deserve respect for that, rather than cynical cash-in remakes....

This is the first year I'll have all three main consoles, so I'm having a gaming boner over this years E3. The Microsoft press conference is the one I'm most looking forward to, I'm sure there will be some great announcements from them. I have a feelling they'll announce brute force 2 for some reason and I'd love a sequel to quantum redshift, jaysus I loved quantum redshift.

  • Crovax20 #22 4 years ago

Nintendo didn't invite Eurogamer to the kodak theater? See, Nintendo doesn't care about Europe.
  • Gnort #23 4 years ago

It's the best loved 8/10 series in the world, isn't it?
  • Crovax20 #24 4 years ago

    Pikmin 3.

I will be ever so slightly irritated and go on a killing spree at Nintendo's head office.
