Hello and welcome to this lovely bonus edition of the Eurogamer.net Podcast! This week our home town of Brighton has played host to the Develop Conference, and to celebrate we got together with Revolution Software boss Charles Cecil to chat about the headlines from the best sessions.
This being the Eurogamer.net Podcast, the gang of Tom Bramwell, Ellie Gibson and Dan Pearson also helped "Chuck" to abandon our immediate context and go off on lots of amazing tangents about Dan Brown and Ron Howard, the genesis of Revolution itself and what we all thought about Heavy Rain.

It being a Develop special, this half-week's podcast focuses on sessions from the conference, including Charles' panel about digital distribution, Louis Castle's InstantAction keynote and of course Tim Schafer's Thursday keynote and his widely reported (and very funny) comments about Activision boss Bobby Kotick.
We also talk a bit about this week's news - the announcement of Sony's attendance at the Eurogamer Expo, and some shouty optician group's claim that 3D TV doesn't work for 12 per cent of the population.
Then of course Charles fields your questions, and what a merry time we have with them. Thanks to the likes of crigsmyers, jamesclayton, glennw and others on our Twitter feed for putting forward such excellent discussion material.
Oh, and Charles even steps in as Guest Hyphenator right at the end of this, our longest podcast ever.
- InstantAction's Louis Castle interview
- Sony announces huge Eurogamer Expo line-up
- 1 in 10 can't see 3D properly - report
- Cage exploring "very different universes"
Next week the Eurogamer.net Podcast will be back in its usual timeslot of 3pm UK time on Tuesday. Hear us again then!
