Eurogamer Expo tickets on sale now! News

Tickets are now on sale for the Eurogamer Expo, which takes place on 28th and 29th October at the Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London.

This fantastic event lets you get hands-on with the biggest games due out this Christmas, including LittleBigPlanet, Fallout 3, Mirror's Edge, Street Fighter IV, and plenty more besides.

Tickets cost a paltry GBP 5 from the Eurogamer Expo site, and all proceeds are being donated to GamesAid, a UK games industry charity. We do our bit.

Tickets also grant access to the GamesIndustry.biz Career Fair, which helps those with a passion for joining the industry meet and chat with the biggest companies around.

Plus, of course, there's the opportunity to meet the particularly handsome Eurogamer team. We would.

Pop your head into the Eurogamers EG Expo group for some event-related chatter, or saunter over to the Eurogamer Expo group on the less well-known community site Facebook.

The Eurogamer Expo is part of the London Games Festival, which runs from 24th October to 2nd November, and includes events such as Video Games Live - the orchestral performance of music from games like World of Warcraft and Halo.

There's also a world record being attempted during the opening weekend for the number of people dressed as videogame characters under one roof, plus numerous fringe events taking place across the city throughout the festival.

Head over to the London Games Festival site to find out more.

I'm sure you'll make friends during the day, S.J... and besides, who needs friends when you have GAMES TO PLAY. :)

Vote now: will the event smell as bad, worse or better than CEX or Gamestation stores.

Just down the road from me. It will likely smell of stale beer and old cooking ghee.

Brick Lane has about 900 curry houses. A room full of people playing videogames having eaten large quantity of curry?

I reckon it will smell worse even than CEX.

There's a few reasons... but it's fair to say next time it will have at least one of the days on a weekend.

Question - for those of us 18 or over, will there be a bar??
If so - see y'all there, if not... 93 Feet East after? We can geek out over a lager...

Madafunkola: The event itself doesn't have a license, but there are bars on the same site and you can come and go as you please - the Big Chill Bar will probably be one of the busier ones. And yep, 93FE too.

I hope tickets are still available, I'm going in for one last ditch attempt to blag a day off tomorrow. I need to come not only for the games but to meet (and drink with) some of the mad fools like me who waste time talking/laughing/bitching/debating on a gamers site!

Can we have our Forum name on badges so we can put faces to names?
Apologie, Swam, Hedbog etc - you may wish to just have your real name on a badge...

We'll try and sort blank badges or similar... doubt we'll be able to print personal badges.
