FFCC: Crystal Bearers gets US date
Still no word on a European release.
Square Enix has yet to nail-down the European whereabouts of Wii game Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers.
"The exact release date will be confirmed in the near future," a spokesperson for the publisher told Eurogamer.
This follows word of a Boxing Day release for FFCC: The Crystal Bearers in the US. That's exactly one month later than Japan.
Crystal Bearers was announced at E3 2005, years before the Wii had even gone on sale. Square Enix hadn't begun production, and the long silence that followed sparked plenty of cancellation rumours.
But here we are, ready to receive the follow-up to the excellent GameCube Crystal Chronicles from 2004.
Crystal Bearers will focus more on single-player action-adventure, but retains the real-time combat and pushes a telekinetic magic system to the forefront of the game's mechanics.
There's a wealth of information to catch-up with over on the official FFCC: The Crystal Bearers website.

Is that so? I'm Dutch and I speak English. I have hundreds of friends who speak English. But I'm pretty sure almost none of them have heard of Boxing Day.
I guess that's what I get for wanting to visit eurogamer.net instead of .nl...
