EGTV: Ninja Gaiden 2 trailer

Are you still wondering what Ninja Gaiden 2 looks like? You mustn't be very good at the Internet then, because it seems to be everywhere at the moment. Never mind - watch our new and exclusive Ninja Gaiden 2 trailer on Eurogamer TV instead. And then look at our new and exclusive Ninja Gaiden 2 screenshots.

The trailer is comprised entirely of gameplay footage - nearly four minutes of it, in fact - and begins with lots of extremely gory footage of Ryu slicing people's legs and heads off in a friendly-looking port.

The action then switches to a room circled by a big snaky decoration, although your eyes will quickly give up trying to make that out in favour of the six-armed arachnid horror that Ryu's involved in a battle to slaughter. Which he does of course. Nastily. After that, more outdoor bits follow, and it's all quite violent. Don't spoil your tea.

    ... not as impressive as i thought it would be, still looks good though

    Meh?, let me guess you're a Wii owner. Go back to Wiifit fatboy and leave the games to people with real consoles.

    And before I go that is a old build, there is nothing exclusive about it. That level was shown months ago.

    Looks like a gored-up, powered-up version of Ninja Gaiden with some added Shinobi-teleport flavor. Now I -love- shinobi, so that could be good. However from the boss-fight it seems it has none of the control that game has (no lock) and the camera is really all over the place! Hope these things will get fixed...

    I think this might be an 18 when it's released...
    Looks good though, definitely just a whole lot more of the same, but with a predecessor that good, I don't really mind.
    Loved the special attack where everyone just exploded and limbs were flying everywhere. Just plain rediculous.

    Yes, I am a 360 owner. And yes, my recent played list sucks...mainly because the machine has been in a box waiting for pickup because its fucked for 4 weeks and I traded in the majority of my 360 games - including the ones on that list - so had to check that the were all working, hence them showing as "recently played".

    So well done there, Sherlock.

    And NickNack - I think your 3 comments there show how much of a pedantic bastard you really are that you found the time, not only to question my motives for "meh" and to check on my gamercard, but also to nitpick that the level had been "shown before". Well done again - I bet you feel all warm inside abut that one.

    And "meh" because the first Ninja Gaiden was one of the most boringly overrated games in history. So I'm not interested in the second one. Thats my opinion.

    Oh and if I chose to say "meh" about a game, again, thats my opinion. If I don't like it - live with it asshole. I'm not saying thats what *you* should think. I am allowed to express an opinion contradictory to other people.

    Last time I checked, this was the internet - haven of freespeakers everywhere...

    It's not a nit-pick, to claim something as exclusive when it's already been shown elsewhere is pretty poor journalism, but EG may not actually have been aware of the prior showing.

    Now, naff off...

    And what if it wasn't an "exclusive"? Would it really matter? There may be people who haven't read it anywhere else, so to them, it is an exclusive. And, as you've said yourself, EG may not have been aware that the article was shown elsewhere.

    What is it with all that pedants on here recently, picking at every little mistake in every article - if you don't like the quality of journalism here, then don't read it - simple. Why feel the need to vocalize every little qualm? To be honest, I'm surprised that the guys still keep the comments on every single article, when it seems that they get slagged rotten no matter what they write.

    Maybe they should give all you know-alls a shot at it...see what you can all do.

    Now...what was it you said...

    Damn NickNack hurt you too much the fact crazyhorse174 dont like Ninja Gaiden 2?? Who are you?? Bill Gates' son?? Bill Gates' cunt??

    I said "Meh" to Halo 3 and that not mean the game its bad or the game sucks or i play Wii....that only means I dont like FPS.

    That it is, and that also gives people the right to say they disagree with you. I think that you'll find yourself outnumbered on this topic, since Ninja Gaiden is ace.

    I always wonder why individuals say things like "this game is the most boringly overrated game in history."....just so they can emphasize their dislike for a certain game. Halo3, Resistance, Bioshock, Mass Effect and Uncharted have all been known to get these kind of comments. And it's always related to a game that hundreds of thousands of people enjoy compared to that person's singular disdain which would mean thousands of people like boring and overrated games while that person's tastes is the "real" truth.

    Please get over yourself, crazyhorse174...Ninja Gaiden is far from boring and even less as being overrated even if you hate the genre or the IP.

    @bluebird: you love PS2 Shinobi? well, I guess someone has to. I really couldn't get on with it, didn't even finish it. Too many bottomless-pit instant-death restart-whole-level sections, and the fact it was one of the ugliest games I've ever witnessed didn't help.

    Im gutted I won't get to play this, I have played the original and black to death. The 360 broke for the 4th time so I replaced it with PS3. Sigma is great but a new Gaiden would be awesome. Bugger.
