Buzz!: The Music Quiz Reader Review
Buzz! The Music Quiz is a fresh, original new ps2 game, along the lines of Eyetoy, Singstar etc.
After about 15 minutes of a grueling workout, trying to get the plastic cover protecting the game off, I was supplied with four buzzers, and a game.
I was not totally sure how the four buzzers were going to connect to the Playstation 2 as there were only 2 usb ports.
The buzzers neatly fit into one Usb port, yes thats right, ONE! They fit neatly into your hand, obviously designed to fit the shape of your man-claws.
On the subject of the game, menu's are easy to dictate with key guides (e.g Blue Button = multiplayer compared to Red Button =Single player)
Type your name, pick the sound of your buzzer and the character you want to represent you in the game.
I particularly like to play as Elvis, and typing a sinister name instead of your own is always good if you are sober enough to know what character you picked.
Buzz is voiced by no other than Jason o' Donovan which will surely but some people off, but is not as bad as you might think.
Buzzer's are very responsive, although you might feel robbed in some rounds as you pressed the button at the same time as your mate, only to find out that he had won the game by a measly 50 points because he pressed the buzzer 4 milliseconds before you did.
Rounds differ, from Pass the bomb in which you answer questions as quickly as possible to get rid of the bomb that blow's your points to pieces, to Point stealer which hilariously has you taking the points off a player of your choice, instead of gaining them from Buzz.
Overally entertaining, with no flaws that I can think of and the graphics are solid and colourful.
So instead of taking out Singstar and Eyetoy at a party, how about having a round or six of Buzz!- The Music Quiz.
