World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Reader Review
It seems that whenever Blizzard release anything to do with its WoW world, it always scores highly.
This expansion is nothing more than a lazy attempt by a developer clearly running out of ideas. They have taken half the map from the Western Plaguelands from the original game and slapped it into this new expansion - added the same NPCs but given them a different colour and of course a new name (extra tough boar) and churned out this mess.
The grinding continues and you can now unlock a Death Knight to play. Sounds fun? Nope. You must first complete a batch of traditional tedious quests before being released into the big wide world.
For those into pvp, they have added sieges but havent done anything to improve pvp combat. This is were WoW falls flat on its face. Warhammer Online does this so much better.
You still cant target correctly and if your opponent goes behind you, there is no target lock. So they do some dance next to you and kill you because you cant actually attack them.
Northend - the new zone - is more of the same. The same mobs in different colours but higher levels and yes, they did introduce a 'new' profession but lets face it, they need to overhaul the so called quests. Running to point A to kill 30 of xxx and then run back again, only to run back to where you were to kill 20 xxx has become extremely stale.
Blizzard clearly are taking the piss out of the WoW players, many of which are bored but log in just to do their house keeping. What ever happened to an exciting story? Mind blowing content and maybe some variety?
If Blizzard make another expansion, they need to do so much more to impress then produce this shallow game.
A lazy expansion.
