Peter Jackson's King Kong Reader Review

Just in case you aren't familiar with the movies story, I wont go into too many details. Risc taking director Carl Denhem, Jack Driscoll and Ann Darrow head over to Skull Island to film a new movie, but find much more than they have bargained for. The crew find creatures that usually aren't found in a zoo. And you can guess what happens next. Split into 42 chapters, you play as man and Kong. There is no hood, which means there is no health bar or the aiming system. You aim all your weapons by eye alone, and when attacked the screen turns red. Scores:

Gameplay - 8.0 You find spears and burn bushes, kill dinos or throw them when you are Kong.

Sound - 9.3 The sound is supurb, so if you have a stereo system, be sure to play Kong through it.

Lifespan - 7.0 Very short, so enjoy while it lasts.

Graphics - 9.2 Very pretty, one of the best you'll see out there. Its better on the 360, but the PS2 version is still great.

Controls - 9.2 Nice and simple. You'll like it. When kong, press one button to swing to the next branch, or circle to grab a dino.

Overall - 8.5 Great, but too short. It'll make you feel like you're in the film, and it'll be fun for almost everyone.

Last word: Buy it or rent, either way, you will love it! Its not hard or easy, so its for most age groups.
