Pro Evolution Soccer 5 Reader Review
Another year another update... but when Konami do this there's no problem, as it seems each year they tweak the game play closer and closer to perfection, but on the other hand they seem to leave everything else as it is.
It seems that the graphics are not really pushing the hardware to the limit, and many lower team players do not look nothing like their real life counterparts. Even though the more popular players i.e. Rooney, Henry look like themselves.
The commentary seems to be taken out from its predecessor, with added extras, which is disappointing. But the games play more then makes up for its shortcomings. It's far more realistic and crosses mean much more. Possession is much harder and going 2-3 players require real skill. Sometimes it's so beautiful it can seem like a real match.
All in all it's a fair update, game play wise it still remains the king but for the next generation versions they really do need to focus on improving the presentation part of the game, with far better commentary and graphics and more competitions.. Basically if you own pro 4 consider renting first but if you don't you are missing out on the king of football games.
