Bliss Island Reader Review

I have to give kudos to a casual game that's actually a new idea and not just another match-3 game. This is pretty good fun, a worthy distraction from more hardcore stuff.

Graphics are attractive, and the sound's very fitting. The tone of the game is quite cute, but while the learning curve is quite shallow to begin with it's quite a challenge further on.

In a nutshell, this is a cross between keepy-uppy and pinball. You control a little blue animal who can shoot air blasts out of its trunk to knock balls around for various reasons, ususally to strike something else. You lose a life by dropping a ball off the bottom of the screen on some levels running out of time.

There's 5 different level types, which does keep things varied, and different balls have their own characteristics e.g. heavier or more friction.

This gets a big thumbs up because it's dared to be different and is well-executed. Download is highly recommended!
