Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved Reader Review

There are some games that consume you. You know the ones when you sit down for a quick go and when get up for a piss break it has been 2 hours.

We have all been there Halo:CE, Counter Strike, WoW and Oblivion. Well add this to your list. It's on the Marketplace for a meager 400pts (roughly £3.50) and once you get started there's no going back.

Move move move The premice is simple a retro shooter where you move a ship with the left anolog and shoot in whichever direction with the right. When shit gets tight hit a trigger for a bomb. Do this while little shapes follow you, don't let them touch you or bam your dead.

When you first start out you wonder how the hell anyone can get into the 10k range. It is hard but don't threat newB practice makes perfect. With a constant shot infront of you and never stop moving sooner rather than later you WILL get it and rack up your points. See that's the problem you know with practice it will make perfect and the ego in us all makes us want us to beat K4rn4ge's score (33million, yes 33million, I'll put that in perspective I have barely got over 700,000 and I'm top of my freinds list, he is THAT good.)

So why the 9 score, well it's perfect gaming plaasure (FUN, that why we game isn't it?), graphics to make your eyes bleed and addictive. Oh yeah it's cheap, remember to download free trial and once you're able to pass the 4minute cap buy the game.

P.S I never gave a 10/10 because I want to know what co-op plays like and I can always dream they improve. If that wouldn't work then I appologise because there is no way Bizzare Creations can improve on this game and make that a 10 :)
