Echochrome finally on Euro PSN

Plus Top Spin 3 demo, PSP sat-nav maps.

Sony has finally walked echochrome up but also down a staircase onto the European PlayStation Store.

Jubilation for GBP 6.99, then, although it turned out not to be quite as exciting as it first promised. There's also an echochrome Micro game for PSP that costs GBP 4.99, but we're not sure what this is - probably a cut-down version of last week's boxed release to judge by the name.

Joining it this week are a demo for the admirable Top Spin 3 so you can re-enact that final between Federer and Nadal, plus a fresh batch of maps for Go! Explore on PSP - the GPS sat-nav software. Those maps cost GBP 14.99, mind you.

There's an Amber Vorhees character for High Velocity Bowling that costs 70 pence, too.

All that and some trailers for the not-supposed-to-be-that-bad animated film Kung Fu Panda, Call of Duty 5 and Secret Agent Clank.

The PSP maps are for Ireland, Spain and France only, it's not UK content.

UK content should come with the GPS, but has anyone seen one of these mythic beasts?

Anyone still care about echo chrome?

Yeah, I wanna play echochrome, but only because I haven't seen a demo yet...

I bought Echochrome from the US store a few weeks ago, played through a handful of levels and got bored.
Though in all fairness I bore easily, so I can't really say for sure if the game was all that bland :). I did find the controls a bit cumbersome though.

more importantly, where has the wipe out HD gone? its totally dropped off the radar!

Ah, echochrome micro is the single player game and level creator from the UMD version. Not bad but I think I'll plump for Rayman this week. Incidentally, the Japs have got MGS PSOne on their store - If i read it right - hopefully not long now.

There is one thing missing in EchoChrome.

A clock. Make this time based, and it gets a lot more interesting.

    Still fun though.

echochrome is a very stylish game and worth the £7 asking price but it really does make my brain ache! LOL

Loads of stuff out on the US PSN by the way even if some of it is decidely mediocre. There's demos of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspain (another TT game rife with screen tearing and very bland), WALL-E (a child friendly bore-a-thon with OK visuals), SIREN: Blood Curses (absolutely bloody excellent!!!) and Monster Madness (a PS3 port of that awful 360 game from last year with, at least, improved controls). Not great then but at least there's more content to try then delete than the disappointing UK Store.
