EA puts final date on FIFA 11

Unveils exciting new Creation Centre.

EA has announced a European release date of 1st October for FIFA 11.

North Americans get to play slightly earlier from 28th September.

The publisher also unveiled the new Creation Centre in FIFA 11. Here you can play god and build players and teams from scratch. You'll be able to share them with friends around the world and even tweak attributes and tactics when browsing the internet.

The Creation Centre will launch when FIFA 11 goes on sale.

Another new feature this year is Custom Audio, which allows you to set chants for your team during player introductions, half-time and after goals. You'll also be able to play music direct from your console's hard-drive.

Lol @ the fact that Americans get it before us.
  • Scirvir #3 2 years ago

They get it before us because Tuesday is the day games usually come out over there. It's the same week.

I can barely believe that I was once a PES man. Since I bit the bullet and played Fifa 10 Ive since been hooked. PES is dead to me.

As long as Huddersfield Town and stated up properly I'll be fine. I really don't need much more.

    I love stuff like this.

Making my awful uni team from a couple of years back, shoving them in League Two and building them up to superstars is the sort of thing I really enjoy doing.

And as long as Yeovil Town are accurate and up to date (being the sort of team FIFA don't give a shit about, last season the numbers were the wrong colour, the season before there were no names at all), I'll be happy.

Am wondering if this is the year that reviewers and players really start examining whether EA can justify such small updates to Fifa.

If you read the previous article on CVG, Rutter has stated that EA have only announced 20% of the new features of Fifa 11 (excluding creation center). There is a lot more to come!!

    So far EA have announced:

    Creation Center
    Personality +
    Pro Passing

well, I hope so. I skipped fifa10, but I would genuinely buy Fifa11 if it was more than just a tweak here and there.

I mean, simple things like the crowd still looks dreadful in Fifa games, it breaks the illusion for me. Then the commentator says 'great save', when the goalie did almost nothing. Simple stuff. The player graphics/animations are getting better, but its still not that convincing. Sounds like I'm trolling, but I've owned plenty of PES and Fifa games down the years. I await the reviews...

Just give us a robust Manager Mode, please...
  • enjoy76 #18 2 years ago

I think the Americans get it 3 days early to give them half a chance of winning some online games as once it's out in the EU they have had it.
  • chalkyQUAKER #19 2 years ago

Why should we get it before the USA? EA is an American company and they are better than us at our national sport.
  • paolo10 #20 2 years ago

chalkyQUAKER, EA is canadian company and not american. And when you say "our national sport" you mean you are english? I doubt it because of your last comment who either shows your ignorance about football or failed attempt to make humor which both indicate you are american :))))
  • oupe #21 2 years ago

Quick! Sell 10 before its too late!

Err, sorry to tell you this dude...
  • Lionheart #23 2 years ago

Hmm wonder if you can edit an actual players appearance?
  • Turrican #24 2 years ago

Fluff as usual - fix the manager mode, nothing else really matters for an awful lot of players.

Oh and reviewers? Grow some balls and refuse to review the game if EA are only going to let you play it for one afternoon under armed guard, last years Fifa 10 reviews were an embarassment to the whole of games journalism.
  • jefranklin18 #25 2 years ago

Hmm, Play, Create, Share for FIFA - could be fun. Might have to create Farnborough FC, as it is my home team. Being able to create your own stadia would be a funky addition.

Creation Centre makes me very happy!!!!!

and i hope its spelt Creation Centre and not the bastardised american version center. is it really so difficult for them?

and its Medal Of HonoUr, you lazy *****!
  • FuzzyDuck #27 2 years ago

Whoops, misread that as "Criterion Centre".

/goes back to having a retro blast on Burnout 2.

Hmm, as long as they implement punishment for rage quitting online matches i'll be happy.
  • Harmonica #28 2 years ago

It's taken them how long to put create a team in when PES has had it since it was ISS. Ah the desperate scramble for a featureset.

FIFA improved vastly in the transition from 2008-2009, but last year the only significant change was the dribbling and online clubs (the latter of which, though I've put hundreds of hours into, is a bit stupid).

It's not as if football games have reached the point where there's only small incremental advances left. There's tons they could bring to the game if they wanted to work for it.

This looks awesome :-) FIFA 11 is now on my list
