EA plans Hasbro Family Game Night
Yahtzee, Boggle etc. Mr Potato Head hosting.
Electronic Arts has announced plans to release a new family title based around some classic Hasbro board games.
Hasbro Family Game Night is in development for PS2 and Wii and will feature six games including Battleship, Yahtzee, Boggle, Connect Four and Sorry! Plus there's a brand new title called Sorry! Sliders. Mr Potato Head has signed up to host following a series of protracted contractual negotiations.
There will be new versions of old favourites such as Boggle Portal Cubes, Reverse Yahtzee, Battleship Barrage and Connect Four Power Chips, whatever all that means.
Yahtzee, Boggle and the Sorry! games are for up to four players, while just two people will be able to compete at Connect Four and Battleship. Mini-game challenges, including Match the Pattern, Shake for Words and Bomb Run, whatever all that means, will be available in party mode.
And finally, you'll get a "distinctive digital game room" to "deck out" with trophies, decorations and "cool furniture".
Hasbro Family Game Night is out this autumn.
