EA pinpoints Fight Night Round 4 demo

Late May/early June. Pre-orders earlier.

EA has told Eurogamer that a Fight Night Round 4 demo will appear here in late May or early June.

The publisher also plans to run an early demo-access deal with a local retailer, similar to the GameStop US campaign that lets pre-order customers sample the game two weeks early.

EA told us talks are in progress, but the publisher isn't ready to name names.

Fight Night Round 4 has ducked out of media reach since its unveiling last May. EA Canada will once again develop, and promises to painstakingly recreate over 40 famous fighters, including home-grown talent Lennox Lewis and Ricky Hatton, as well as Mike Tyson for the first time in apparently almost a decade.

The game's due out on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this summer and we should be getting another look at it in the next month. Pop over to our Fight Night Round 4 gamepage for the latest trailer.

    Man, I went back playing FNR3 yesterday. It's a really, really great game, and I've no qualms about giving EA all the praise they deserve for it. It's, what, 1st, 2nd generation of game on the Xbox and still looks better than most. Bodes so well for No. 4.

    ...I've just read Dark_Stranger's comment, lol

    Fight Night 2 and 3 were brilliant games (annoying long winded menu animations aside).

    I'm not sure what makes you think there won't be pre-orders FenderMaster. The series has a very good reputation and I would expect pre-orders by the bucket load.

    @kangarootoo

    I'm not doubting FN's quality

    Most sports games fans aren't the pre ordering type, they just walk into the store and pick up the game. And pre pre orders only really get big for AAA blockbuster titles, or around Christmas time.

    I just don't many pre orders for a boxing game released in summer

    I won't bother with a pre order but launch day I'm down the shops for this! Roll on summer FN3 was amazing!

    Fendermaster I work in Game, tragic I know, and the Fifa series is probably one of the most preordered titles every single year.
    I can't bloody wait for FN4, hopefully it'll make up for the total mess that was Facebreaker.

    very excited about this - the trailers from last year looked really smart. As kangarootoo said though, hope they sort the menu's out - got a bit boring!

    I hope this time they put a ref in the ring!...I don't know why they never inc them in the ring in boxing games when it's a major part in decision making in boxing!
